He had a gun and had just shot her parents. Presumably he would have shot her and her siblings as well. The fact that she left willingly can't be held against her. And yes, she's fourteen and as dumb as they come at that age. She has to live with what she's done, her stupidity, rebelliousness, lack of sense. But she didn't shoot her parents.

Hershey, read on. She didn't have to leave with him at all--she ran after his car when he started to leave without her.

She could have, apparently, escaped as they drove cross country if she were a victim.
There are mutliple gas station security cameras, apparently, that record parts of the trip.
She had, apparently, various opportunities to escape or call the police if she thought that she was a victim.
The weeks to come will be instructive as to her visual appearances in front of these many camera hours after her parents were killed.
Her sisters and brothers are now orphans,too.
It will be instructive to note the siblings eye witness reports on her actions, if any, during the double murders.
