Peach...I have a confession.
I haven't sent a message through patriciatruth or anyone else, because I don't know what to say.
I just do NOT know how to convey my thanks in a way that is worthy to these people. I am not kidding, I feel very inadequate when sending any kind of "Thank you" notes, even to my family...
so, I am just "blocked" when it comes to saying the "right" thing.
I am not trying to avoid it, I am just trying to work through this blockage...
I write personal letters to the troops and tell them that without them, we as women particularly, would feel very unsafe. That they will always be proud of how they protected our country and freed a nation.
That we will never forget them. That we will fly our flag with dignity and pride because of them. That they are the best this nation has to offer. That they have risen above self interest and given to the country and protected their families without regard to their own safety and interests.
That they are doing the hard thing while we at home try to do the right thing and continue to support them and try and condemn those who lie about them.
That we will never, ever forget them and want to hear their stories when they come home and if in a position to do it, ensure that they are well greeted and find good jobs when they return.
That we love them. And honor them. Always.
