Yes, I'm sure that's the way FoxNews asks the questions....

Fox is no better than the MSM. Aside from Brit, I dont watch them at all..

"I know how fickle the average voter is too. I do not take this new strategy lightly, but apparently most here do"

It is equally deadly to OVERestimate you enemies. I am not real sure why so many "Conservatives" seem to suffer from battered wife syndrome. They continually overestimate the enemy and underestimate US. Ronald Reagan did not spend all his time worry about what the Dinasour Media was saying. Wonder why his intellectual God Children do?

Watching the Dallas-Detriot game. The Ref is also an attorney. Every play call gets a closing argument. This could be a long afternoon: game-60 minutes; ref conferences-360 minutes.

Fox News doesn't conduct the polls, but rather a opinion-based research polling company called 'Opinion Dynamics' based in Massachusetts. Fox News pays the company to do their polling. And the FoxNews poll last year had Ho Chi Kerry winning by 2%.

That's exactly right. Professional companies do the polling. They may have personal political philosophies, but I doubt that thousands of employees of all of these polling companies have suddenly gotten together and decided to make up polling data to show that the President's approval has dropped 35 points over a year and a half. It's simply not believable. Yes you can question a 2% error, but when the error rate is a plus or minue 5 points, the 2% difference is clearly explainable. 35 points by every polling group in the country is not. We need to be realistic about the polls and at least understand that approval of both the President and the Iraq war have dropped substantially since 2002.

No it is not equally deadly to overestimate your enemies. Not sure I follow your analogy, but some conservatives who have been through this before, in another war, and who know how ruthless the Democrats can be, wuld like to see a little more action from the White House.

Ronald Reagan did not spend all his time worry about what the Dinasour Media was saying. Wonder why his intellectual God Children do?

President Bush for all he has done to fight the WOT is no Ronald Reagan, and perhaps some of his God children can actuall think for themselves.

Rasmussen has Bush at 43% on Friday. But I heard another poll on KMOX (CBS) that his approval rating had fallen into the "low 30's". Which brings me back to my original post to you, slant the poll, and get it out on the airwaves, regardless of how the information was obtained is the basis for most of these polls..

We can see the truth of your statement in the polls. No matter how much we wish to not believe the sinking poll numbers of both the president and support for the war, there is a lessening of support for both

Yeah, "Sinking poll numbers" in polls that reduced the number of Republican's polled and increased the Democrat/Independent sample by 1/3. That switched from polling only Likely Voters to polling anyone over 18. But that's ok, if the myth about poll numbers sparks the kind of stuff we saw Friday Nite, let them spin the polls. Polls are NOT reality. Too bad too many political junkies still cannot figure out how the Media USES polls to influence public policy.

I don't know if you are aware of the Army of People like freepers only more quiet and laid back that have been waiting patiently for the Dems to STHU and leave our Soldiers alone. This group just want to go to work and live their lives in Peace and quiet with their families. They are not the activists like on the Freerepublic, but they are Patriots and are mostly busy working and do not pay a lot of attention. They are becoming more and more angry at the incessant attacks on our Soldiers and our Military in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are tired of how the fight in America against the War from the Radical Moonbats is being covered by the Has Been Media non stop. They trust our Military and they trust our President, they see this as piling on and they do not understand the unfairness. Above everything Patriots are fair, and do not like the viciousness of these attacks. A growing number of these Patriots are calling their Congress Critters and telling them how they feel. This is where we come in by talking in Supermarket checkout lines,At Ballgames, at The Movie Theatre, Parties, Laundramat,Shopping Malls, anywhere that people gather just start talking and it will get conversations going that will make a difference. Most Freepers already do this, but we need everyone that feels comfortable doing it to speak out. Our Country depends on it.

In Carter's case, he 'attained' the Presidency. But, as President, his 'achievements' were nil.

Not true! Not true at all!

You know those little beepers on dump trucks and garbage trucks and other heavy equipment? The ones that go "beep-beep-beep" incessantly when these mighty vehicles move in reverse? The ones that, having been mandated by OSHA to have a certain sound intensity output so they could be heard above the roaring engine of those self-same vehicles, were later found by that same agency to be in violation of another regulation about the maximum level of sound that could be emitted by devices used in the workplace?

Those beepers were one of Carter's accomplishments!

There is a daily Pentagon briefing and a daily briefing at Centcom in Baghdad, giving the progress of the war. Those briefings have never stopped.

I think what needs to be done is to figure out how to get the briefings covered on television.

They don't need "evidence of a smear" - it's the seriousness of the charge: repubs are smearing.

"boycott of FOX"

GOOD! Maybe FOX will wise up and return to a conservative or AMERICAN message.

When those two got a Nobel Peace Prize, I knew that it was totally worthless. I cannot think of any two people that have done less for Peace. Jimmah would not have had a hostage situation color his entire Administration if he had not screwed over the Shah because they did not succumb to his extortion attempts. I would wager that the entire Middle East had been worse off because of his stupidity, and God awful judgment.
