I thought it was funny when the DUmocrats booed & hissed everytime a positive letter was read, but Murtha was allowed to rant on and on about "letters" from wounded soldiers (that fit within his agenda).

Why John Murtha is Right!
By Larry Johnson | bio
From: Foreign Affairs
John Murtha's courageous call for American troops to leave Iraq is the right policy at the right time. The Bush chickenhawks already are impugning Murtha's patriotism, but when you have a purple heart and a silver star compared to a President with a spotty attendance record with the National Guard and a Vice President with five deferments, that dog don't hunt.

There is more at the link.

Great point, Maica! If FR can do it, why not Wallace. Please e-mail your "Biden the ineffective/lying plagiarizer" to Wallace, and as widely as possible to the "powers that be" on Fox News. (Brit Hume?)

"Remember don't start judging until we hit 1,500, at that rate you can pick a winner by midnight!"

No Rod. Remember we discussed this last week. I will judge the ones that reach 1000. When YOU are the Judge, the goal is 1,500. But looking good. We must be over 500 now.

I do not think with the Peanut Farmer Rabbit Killer that it is about Money. I believe Jmmah is like a petulant child that wants all the attention in the room from everybody there. He is Narcissistic like Slickie, and he has a mean streak and is vengeful. Jimmah was a serious narcissist long before he was a complete laughing stock as a President. He has spent almost every waking moment since he got drummed out of Office trying to win the Respect of the Masses, and redeem himself. He sucks up to Murderous Dictators, and runs around behind This President and other President's backs sliming our Policies to left wing leaders. He tried unsuccessfully for many years to lobby for a Nobel Peace Prize, and he finally made it by his Constant criticism of The Bush 41/43 Presidencies. He knew they gave him the Prize for that reason only, but he did not care, he can rationalize even to himself that he earned it by doing something good for Mankind. The only thing that I remember he does well is build Houses. I have never seen him do anything except pound a nail though. My Jack Russell dog or a Monkey can be taught to pound a nail.

We all have to be careful not to fall into the trap the Pubs did this week. The press is trying it's best to "talk" fear into conservatives.

If you listen to the MSM they keep chanting W's poll #'s from 2 weeks ago. They are going up...and the reason is they could not reach the same 700 or so Democrats they have been calling this past month because it seems they have all gotten jobs.

Besides...all of these little political episodes have staying power of only a week or two. Notice how the press has not talked much about an upcoming election in Iraq, except only in passing. The Dems and MSM are purposely trying to get enough negativity out there about Iraq in general that the successful election will not have much effect.

Remember the nail in the coffin for the Dems it was when in the STOUS the President had a woman from Iraq who voted in the audience? The Dems need to create an atmosphere to lessen that elections impact on American politics. It is the Dems in a precarious situation and I am loving it.

So what do we need to do to counter war on lies crap...say to your liberal friends " So how do you think the election will turn out?" It takes the debate to where is should be. We all want good things in Iraq so maybe we should engage ourselves in what would be positive for Iraq.

Rejoice! We are winning. The fact the MSM is not saying so should not suprise you but should encourage you. We all know how lazy they are...and it is obvious they are having to put in some overtime to refute the good news!

I find it astounding that the only word people heard in Jean Schmidt's words was "coward" and it's immediately assumed she meant Murtha is a coward.

She was delivering a message from a member of the armed services. The message included somthing resembling the following:

"And I have a message for Congressman Murtha; Cowards cut and run, but Marines never do"

So, you are right. Jean Schmidt didn't use her words to mean that Murtha was a coward. It is arguable whether or not the message she was delivering was meant to label Murtha a coward. I any event, the words will not be part of the Congressional record because Jean Schmidt sought and obtained unanimous consent to have them withdrawn. But her delivery was prime time news ;-)

Carter was selling his book the other week in a nearby town. When a reporter for the local paper interviewed him, he told her that he considered his "finest achievement" was getting the Nobel Peace Prize.

Not mentioned was his long pursuit to get it and that Arafat got it too....you know, that peace loving Arafat.
