There isn't enough hot water to clean-off these lackies when they get through with their weekly servicing of the DNC.

Here is how the USA can save a ton of money, billions and billions. We wasting $$ everyday running schools like West Point. We don`t need `em. And all those Generals and Admirals, fire them to. All we need to do is turn our forces our to these 5 fools on the ABC Sunday show. They are experts on stratagy, force deployment, fighting terrorism, gathering intelligence, oh, and building armies. They are national treasures
I take it you are no fan LOL
The more that Murtha appears on television, the more harm will be done to his cause. This man is the ranking minority member of the House Defense Committee, and he can't form a coherent sentence. He could only throw out some tired, two-year old cliches and cheap shots. He clearly doesn't know his subject matter. I was frankly amazed at his mediocre performance.
We clearly have another Cindy Sheehan on our hands. Someone has gotten to him and is going to campaign him hard. Given his history with Abscam and his brother's lobbying efforts, I wouldn't be surprised to find that his new found celebrity is accompanied by a big plus-up in his bank account.
good question, all I know is this Lennar was the only bidder on the 4,000 acre El Toro MC base and they were the winning bidder of another closed marine base here in Tustin.I just wonder if Murtha had anything to with it. I will have to do a little digging.
Oh, I hope so. I could listen to Cheney all day. I've always loved his response to a reporterette's question during the 2004 campaign about what he thought of John Edwards. Without missing a beat the VP said, "I think he's as cute as a button." It was the most effective putdown I've ever heard, and one to which there's absolutely no effective response!
Me too. I'm sure I could get an award for all the times I've been wrong about something and been corrected. Well... perhaps I'd have to share it.... LOL
Exactly. The stakes are very high. Not only on the WOT, but if the Dems win the House next year, the President will be impeached, no question. His speech a couple of weeks ago was great, but now is the time for him to use the bully pulpit loudly and often. The 527's need to start a campaign also, and those Republican senators who have not lost their nerve need to get out on the stump.
John Murtha has been critical of the war for over two years, his comments last week were not the hot news the MSM was trying to paint them as.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If he's a hawk, I would be curious to know what a dove is. Howard Fineman's column this week makes no references to Murtha's past opposition to this war. Fineman says that Murtha recently went to Iraq and changed his views. What of piece of crap. Fineman disappoints me because I'm not a full time journalist/columnist like he is and yet I can dig up this info by the time I've had my morning coffee and gone to the bathroom. If Fineman is a paid professional "political analyst" for Newsweek and MSNBC, they are paying way too much for his bullcrap service.
Murtha: 'We cannot prevail in this war'
By The Associated Press
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A statement from a pro-defense Democrat that the Pentagon's current military strategy in Iraq makes the war unwinnable drew a sharp rebuke Thursday from Republicans, who accused Democrats of using the war for political gain.
The furor over the position taken by Rep. John Murtha, of Johnstown, a decorated Vietnam War veteran and top Democrat on the House Appropriations defense panel, highlighted the increasingly partisan divide over the current course and future of the war in Iraq.
"We cannot prevail in this war as it is going today," Murtha said yesterday at a news conference with House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. Murtha said the incidents of prisoner abuse in Iraq were a symptom of a problem in which U.S. troops in Iraq are undermanned, inadequately equipped and poorly trained.
"We either have to mobilize or we have to get out," Murtha said, adding that he supported increasing U.S. troop strength rather than pulling out.
Republicans responded at their own news conference, with Majority Leader Tom DeLay, of Texas, saying that "this morning, in a calculated and craven political stunt, the national Democratic Party declared its surrender in the war on terror."
He said Democrats "want to win the White House more than they want to win the war, and our enemies know it."
Democrats, said GOP Rep. Michael Burgess, of Texas, "basically are giving aid and comfort to the enemy."
Murtha, a strong supporter of robust defense spending, denied that he was criticizing the troops: "I know what affects them. They want to be taken care of and they're not being taken care of."
Don't think the "next Murtha" is gonna be in a real big hurry to tee-it-up for the Republicans the way ole John did last week. It was an unmitigated tactical disaster for the Dims.
Most conservatives prayed for Chrissy when he was infected with malaria. He started behaving arrogant since last election. It 's a shame, he was good when he spoke honestly.
Mitchell is a piece of work. Anytime the networks want someone who appears to be unbiased or authoritative they trot him out. He 'sounds' so reasonable, when in fact he's lying through his teeth.
Isikoff is speculating that Richard Armitage is the source for both Woody and Novak....per Drudge...
Me too.
You are right, and if there were any decent Investigative Journalists left in the Country these SOB's would be nailed. Woodward and Bernstein think that Watergate was the only criminal behavior worth covering. No matter how bad Slickie behaved in Office it was never serious enough for Bernstein. I think I can sympathize with his ex-wife Nora Efron who wrote "Heartburn". He has rested on his Laurels for thirty odd years and has done nothing since. He was nothing then and is nothing now except a blowhard. At least Woodward still writes and has sources as dubious as they may be(like comatose men), he is still out there acting like a Journalist.
After hearing Murtha meander through letters praising himself, I see this owner/operator of a car-wash as an old fart who has traded on his military service record for years. He could make a good living selling life insurance policies to 75yo gullible seniors @$500. a month premiums.
This interview with Murtha reminds me of Tim's interview with the Crier from LA
