Oh yes! He's trying to pretend this resolution is completely different from his "carefully reasoned" alternative.

J.D. blew that out of the water with the NY Times, WAPO, and--best of all--al Jazzeera front pages with headlines screaming that Murtha calls for IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL. I'm still laughing about that one this morning.

I think so.

Sort of like Rangel, a few months ago, introducing a bill to reinstate the military draft. Then, he voted against his own bill.
