He was a Ferry Pilot stationed in Japan. Never even flew over the coast of Vietnam.

Dungheap said on the Senate floor that Rush is on the air over 2,000 hours a week.

That prompted me to call and suggest the Senator get the dung out of his calculator.

I went into the Pacifica Radio site out of curiosity at what sort of stuff they're hawking these days. I was greatly interested to see they -- and the broad liberal establishment in the country -- are pushing hard for "media reform," a project which fits right in with old Dung Heap's comments about Rush.

This is something our gang needs to monitor and be aware of. There's a general link at the Pacifica site (hate to give them the hits but this is opposition research). And media coverage of their 2005 conference is presented HERE

You may be wrong. I believe whale dung rises to the top, just like the dung in the Senate.

Maybe we could play Al Franken's show over the loudspeakers at Abu Ghraib prison.

Actually, I think Rush mis-remembered this one: didn't the name "dung heap" come from Harkin's support of dung heaps for ethanol?

Nope. The reference is to Harkins' comments during Clinton's impeachment trial -- the impartial juror described the charges as "a pile of dung".

I don't think Harkin rises to the level of a dung heap.

More like a cesspit.

I grew up in Iowa. Dung Heap Harkin likes to pretend he is an easy going, friendly old chap who's just like your next door neighbor, but in reality he is a mean-spirited, viscious back room career politician who enthusiastically supports abortion on demand, opposes parential notification and boasts of it in his campaign commercials.

Dung Heap is a correct label, since Harkin truly is a piece of sh*t.

I stand corrected, I am not an expert on whale excrement; but the thought is still the same. The Senate, in this case Harkin, is just below a pile of whale ***t............

For Harkin - wouldn't DUNG HEAP actually be a compliment?

Actaully it's not fair to dung heaps.

I think calling Harkin a dung heap is an insult to good, well respected dung heaps.

A liberal radio show would be subjecting the troops to cruel and unusual punishment, a violation of the UCMJ.

So they want goofy Ed on to satisfy the .00001 liberals overseas in the military. I can think of more important things for them to do.

The funny thing is these clymers don't know how things work at AFRTS. If there was a demand, they would try to get the show. Whining letters and emails from people who don't live in the APO/FPOs of the broadcast areas don't matter, nor should they. When AFRTS has good management, the listeners/ viewers are the most important thing and the only people who's opinions matter.

I believe Harkin is more aptly referred to as a 'steaming heap of dung' or a 'steaming dumg heap'. Harking is as useful as titties on a boar hog.
