Its her Cajun name that carried the day for her.Blanco is just a front for her husband and his cronies who are of the Democrat machine of the Edwin Edwards era. They are old ward politics as usual and as such got all the other crooks, such as levee board members, police juries (ever heard of those?), and other local political entities to turn out the vote for her.
