I have actually seen posts acting like the vote today was NO BIG DEAL....but, I don't agree...this is a big deal, because the Republicans (not all) just handed a victory on a silver platter...whether the amendment really makes changes is not even the point...it is the PERCEPTION.
BTW...the smart Republicans...the ones who voted NO on both stupid amendments are:

I'm ashamed that Mel Martinez is my senator. Not only is he an idiot, he is an ingrate....He was the president's hand-picked candidate, and he's voted against the president's interests on several occasions.
