Probably another case "We can either fight our enemies or have a (virtual) civil war between the parties and let our enemies laugh." The only way for the country to win in this scenario is for the pubbies not to tell the truth about what "W" inherited from the Dems and try to focus on the enemy of Islamofascism. So the Dems of course take "W"s commitment to the good of the country and try to use it against him.
Of course someone knew! Ever wonder how they had photos of the 19 hijackers all over television in less than 24 hours after the attacks?
No, there are more witnesses in waiting, some of high rank, and still active duty.
"2. The Republicans are withholding the Able Danger information because all the politicians in Washington are 'good old boys and girls' who watch each others' backsides" (AKA: the Rush Limbaugh theory).
DING DING DING!! We have a winner!
3. Key Republicans are "sitting on" the (presumably explosive) information until a more politically propitious time (e.g. a 2006 election "October Surprise").
Nope. Bush should have trotted out evidence like this (ex: The OKC-911 connections to Iraq) to justify his actions during the fight with Kerry. He never did, and he never will. Instead, he chose to take the political damage over the 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' issue. He won't fight back with facts if it means getting the Clintons in trouble.
4. While some of the "Able Danger" testimony/ evidence might prove embarrassing to the Clinton Administration in the same sense that the National Security Briefing entitled "Al Qaeda Still Intends to Strike the US" was embarrassing to Condi Rice and the Bush Administration, there is no clear cut "smoking gun" to Bill Clinton's office (that can't be knocked down by the MSM).
Two names: Jamie Gorelick and Deiter Snell.
5. There is substance to the "Able Danger" information, but it is a "two-edged" sword that could bite back at the Bush Administration (e.g. Bush Administration figures may have been briefed about "Able Danger" findings prior to 9/11).
Another winner!
6. The Bush Administration may view the "Able Danger" information as falling under the heading of "not yet releasable/declassifiable", or they may see releasing "Able Danger" information as a matter of "executive privilege".
This technology is now six years old. Anyway, the point isn't the programs and techniques, the point here is bureaucratic paralysis that led to the deaths of thousands of Americans- at 911 and the Cole.
I ask myself the question: why would the White House and the Republican leadership not wholeheartedly embrace Mr. Weldon, and his crusading zeal to get the full "Able Danger" story out to the American people; especially now, when the President is being forced to fight back against his Democrat detractors?

Clinton never succeeded with "Gun-Control", because he needed that issue "out there".
It's possible that there are no White House "legs" because the White House doesn't need it yet.
Once it's "needed", there will be no way for the MSM to ignore it.
Ah, the money trail!
Chinese campaign contributions, the chief reason for Gorelick's wall. The Clintonoids were smart enough to insulate their foreign activities from Freeh and the FBI. He said just recently that he was constantly inundated with investigations of the Clintons, and had he known the Able Danger info, 911 probably could have been prevented. But he was cut off from 'foreign' information.
The truth is most American love their country, and would put it ahead of their life. Politicians, and that includes this President, put their political life ahead of this country. Evil exists in this world and it takes many forms, one of them is arrogance. The arrogance that tells a man he should lie or control the truth, because he ONLY HE can save ________(fill in the blank.)
