You sir are a great American and your son deserves to be honored by us all. I too serve in the US army and would willingly go to Iraq or Afghanistan to fight the tyranny that some would have us live under. I just pray that I am raising my children to feel the same as I do. They also know that freedom isn't free. Unfortunately the price is higher for some than others. God bless you and welcome your son into His kingdom.

If we don't stand up to the Cindy Sheehans, Michael Moore's and the politicans who are using Michael's death to further their agenda of undermining our Commander-in-Chief, then Michael Jason William's devotion to this great country will be rendered meaningless. Thanks for passing this on Jim. America needs to realize that these brave men and women are following in the footsteps of the Founding Fathers by pledging their lives, if necessary, for the cause of liberty and freedom.

Ditto's. I have to sincerely agree that your son did indeed die for a good cause. History will bare this out.

"But the Anti-American, anti-war crowd that pretends to 'support the military, but not the mission' are a pack of liars." I agree 100% with the above sentiment and will venture further. Sheehan, Moore, Kennedy, Reid, Dean, Howard, Pelosi, Fonda, Kerry, et al, and their America hating followers are betraying their countrymen while offering aid and comfort to the enemy during wartime. There's a formal word for this activity: TREASON. These despicable traitors should be dealt with accordingly.

An "in spades" DITTO here in line with the sentiments already expressed!!!!
Your son is forever a hero in my heart!!!

They ARE traitors and I would not waste my spit on them if their faces were on fire.

I stand humbled by the sacrafice of your brave son. I have no doubt that he will live on in your own heart until it, too, is stilled. And on that day you and he will once again be together, whole and happy.
Prayers here for you gallant and noble son.
Here is a link to a poem written long ago by another brave young warrior just days before losing his own life.
