Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, aide to Saddam Hussein, died on Friday, al-Arabiya TV channel quoted a statement by the Baath party as saying.
Al-Douri, vice chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council under Saddam's regime, ranks No. 6 among the 55 most wanted by the United States with a 10-million-dollar bounty on his head.
He died early Friday, the statement said, without giving more details.

Saddam has about 100 hundred right hand men in our Senate and House and the top mediots in the MSM. Actually, it's left-hand men.

Thanks for the correction!

When I was in Iraq I was amazed at the diversity of the appearance of the Iraqi people. I even started to speak enlish to a pale skinned and red headed Iraqi.

Agreed. Show me the body first.....this sort of reminds me of Mengele or Bormann being pronounced dead (yet no body), and then seen later, again, and again.

Is this the same guy I read about a couple days ago that had been removed to a hospital suffering from cancer? If it is, I don't know which I wish the most - someone giving him an overdose of morphine or he died screaming from the pain..........Think I prefer the latter in view of his crimes.

There are a number of people in the Middle East who appear to be of European ancestry. Many of them are descendants of the Crusaders.

Today's paper said he was not dead now. I googled this story and there are still conflicting reports on al-Douri's "death"...
Having said that, we could possibly have gotten valuable information from this guy, whom many believed knew the fate and/or whereabouts of CPT Michael Scott Speicher.
