A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Today we take an up close look at some of the rare and historic jewelry collection that's on display at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.
Let's face it, none of us will ever have a jewelry collection as striking and large as this one but it's always fun to look!
The pictures and descriptions were taken from the Smithsonian Gem & Mineral Collection Website.

Ask her to tell the Great Gramma, drunken husband, breakfast, broom-stick story.
I so don't want to be involved I haven't pinged her.
I am going to go draw her bath and make sure her clothes are ready for tomorrow.
I forgot that she has invoked the automatic ping option on my log-in.
Sigh...........

Ask her to tell the Great Gramma, drunken husband, breakfast, broom-stick story. Granddad showed up very late and quite tipsy on evening, he woke Granny up to make him breakfast. Granny said he could eat the dinner she left out for him. Granddad insisted she get up out of bed and make him breakfast, when she again refused he slapped her. Granny got up and made him breakfast, without saying a word. Granddad ate his breakfast then went to bed. When he passed out Granny sewed him up in the sheets and beat the hell out of him with a broomstick (this was back in the early 1900's). Not only did Granddad never again raise a hand to her, he quit drinking.

Lovely thread, Aquamarine. Great job.
Unfortunately, I come late to FR and I usually miss everybody.
Here is a song for your diamonds...
Nighty night. Sweet dreams.

Lovely thread Aqua and how nice to have you back sharing your talent & interests with us. We all hope that you will protect your eyes but also be able to post as the spirit moves you..
.. and how fitting your cute story on the doggie bone "buried" in your bed covers.. I just came back from bawling at Temple Owl's tribute thread to Ink.. there are some tear jerking stories there for sure!!
I will finish reading the notes/posts here.. just responding to the ping for now..
