I read the statute. It is different than many jurisidictions.
However, I do not agree at all with the guy shooting the repoman as being justified. The person was a deadbeat bum and was not protecting his property. Its the bank's property until the debt is paid.

That is true. I'am a little familiar with the case. The incident took place at night, the shooter was an off-duty sheriff. There was an exchange of words, dispute. It was very gray, all the way around. There has also been some changes to when, how autos can be reposed, to avoid such incidents.
