Because I work at a newspaper and have for years and I am knowledgeable of such things. Technically, I know that complaint is not #1 since the papers are there practically every morning. The example does not happen often, but sometimes presses break down and there is no paper and the hotels hear about it loudly and clearly from their guests, thus the #1 complaint.
As stated, hotels spend millions of dollars a year on newspapers and they would not do so unless their guests wanted it.

It's been a couple of years since I have dropped a couple of quarters in a newspaper box. My wife pisses me off every Sunday, She goes to the gas station and buys the Sunday Sacramento Bee just for the advertisements! That's as bad as paying for Playboy for the articles!(She says she steals them from the paper machine.)AAARRRGGGGGHHHH!

The key word I read in your comment is "slowly." In addition to the MSM they also completely control K-12 and university education systems, unions, professional orgs...etc. Long road ahead!

Do you have any idea how the Palm Beach Post is doing? My local liberal paper.

The Palm Beach Post checked in with 154,800 copies sold a day (Mon-Fri) compared with 153,819 copies sold for the same 6 months one year ago (six months ending Sept 2005 compared to six months ending Sept 2004).
For Sunday, the sales were 190,931 compared to 190,219 one year ago.

So circulation for that rag is up? I can only attribute it to our rapid population growth. Sigh.
Thanks for the numbers Dave!

It seems to me that this is a natural consequence of a country filled with people who are not only not taught to read and comprehend, but who don’t read the national language. (as well as newspapers being steadily replaced by “alternative” media, of course!) It sure couldn’t happen to a bunch of more deserving entities.

Environmentalists should be thrilled. Few trees cut down and less paper filling landfills.
