My point was that, on a thread where at least three trolls have crawled out of the woodwork and been zotted, there's really no reason not to publicly correct even the most innocent mistake, to eliminate any possibility of confusion. My point was that, whereas FReepers on other normal threads might indeed be inclined to assume an innocent mistake, that may not hold true on a Viking Kitty thread.

Yes, I may have been a little 'over the cautionary top', so to speak, but at least I gave him/her the opportunity to correct him/herself. Tell me honestly that you haven't seen threads where people shout "TROLL" first, and only apologize later.

More to the point, I think the person you're defending would likely agree with this assessment. Why not ask them? If they want you to continue scolding me, then by all means, come back and lay it on some more.

Um...actually, a troll was the FIRST to appear, by starting the thread. But, the same cautionary attitude is what ultimately exposed a different troll on this thread, so I think the point is extremely valid.
