Hell, I love it if my government neglected me altogether. Maybe I'm nuts, but I can't buy this, "sense of neglect," as a cause for rioting. These folks are already living off the public dole. what do they want...milk and cookies and to be tucked into bed every night?

Too bad the Euro's only seem to alternate between left-wing socialism and right-wing socialism.

When the native population becomes scared enough, and understands that the current regime governing them will not make everyday people safe, there will be a nasty backlash.

Or course, the sensible solution would be to allow people to arm themselves. Like the saying goes: a well armed society is a well behaved society. Armed citizenry is a better way to regulate a rough neigborhood, rather than resort to fascism.
