Black Americans who have left the Democrat plantation are no longer "black" according to Democrats. Yuck! I can almost taste the bile. In a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Op/Ed piece, Justice Clarence Thomas was said to be black but 'with an asterisk' ..meaning he's only a pretender and not really black. Justice Thomas, a conservative, has had to weather racial slurs from Democrat black Americans and Democrats in general for years. Democrats consider it bad enough to be white and conservative. But, if one is intelligent, black and conservative, they consider it a personal attack.

The democrats want everyone on a plantation, black, white, indian, etc. Their basic philosophy is one of enslavement. They cloak it in various public policy pronouncements, such as "Put me in charge and I'll take care of you.", but the basic idea is, "Put me in charge and I'll reign over you."
One of the hallmarks of freedom is the freedom of expressing individual thought. Being contrary to the notions of slavery, individual thought is frowned upon by the democrat party. Any one expressing individual thought is to be immediately whipped back into place.
So to the Democrats, the term "black" has an entirely different definition. It does not refer to a deeper shade of epidermis, nor to a traceable African genotype. Their definition of "black" is a belief that people of racial minorities need more help than nonminorities to achieve less, and in the glorification of said help. THAT is how Bill Clinton got to be defined as black! I get it now!
The democrats have done one heck of a job of going from the pre-civil rights era thought of people being too black for recognition as a human being to today's not being black enough to qualify for the same.
Nothing new here. Ive observed that most white "liberal" college students ive met are completely incapable of understanding that political positions are not based on "race".
So, for example, if someone who isnt white espouses a republican, libertarian, or even anti-democrat cause, its "youre so white".
Did anyone consider that not wanting a hippy-liberal government that indulges in touchy feely whining and wringing of hands everytime something that they consider part of their agenda goes wrong is not necessarily a "white" position?
That (GASP!) people of all races can think for themselves without the members of the central hippy commune leadership telling them how?
Whatever happened to individuals making up their minds for themselves. Nope. Not allowed. If youre not white, how dare you take a white stand on an issue.

I am excited about his run for the Senate. I knew nothing about him until he spoke at the RNC convention last year. His speech was superb. I hope he wins. :)
Conservatives who take a 'gee whiz, can you beleive this' approach to these tactics do our side a disservice.

I agree totally.
The truth is that many african american individuals and other minorities too are extraordinarily successful in the united states. But rather than encourage these people, or even grant recognition of the facts, the dem party seems engaged in a never ending spiral of wallowing in faux-pity
for the minorities.
This is why you get this virulent criticism of successful african americans. They rain all over the demoCRAP parade and ideology.
Minority success in the United States (From Wikipedia and US Census Bureau):
1. Asian-Americans (Including Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, and South Asian Americans) had a median income of 54999$ per annum.
2. Indeed, according to the U.S. Census Indian-Americans (South Asian Indian) have the highest median income of all ethnic groups (including whites) in the U.S. ($60,093 per annum)
3. Jewish Americans have a median income of 54000$ per annum.
Clearly minorities can and certainly do succeed. But for some reasson the media and the dems never never want to admit it.
