I am reposting this link, same story as yesterday, but in this case by Renew America and with pictures. In this story, poignant pictures remind us again of what happened and who we are. My friend Dominique is pictured in her wheelchair, an unsung hero. She fought long and hard for Terri to prevail, ignoring her own infirmities and the weather.

Lovely essay. I have one strenuous objection, when she credits the presstitutes with fair-minded and useful coverage of other stories. But that is just polite blather by her, and she doesn't really believe these are actual journalists.

I don't think we've ever said a prayer for Nikki's well being here at FR. Not only is Nikki a staunch supporter of the fight against the death cult but her world views are spot on. Nikki's not a freeper but she's got many friends here.

There were some really warm days at the Vigils in Pinellas Park this spring. Everyone had to take breaks from waiting for the rescue that never came. Nikki was vigilant and gracious every time we met. Nikki even protested in between Vigils in all kinds of weather.

Let's hear it for Nikki and I wish her well in 2006.
