Nothing is going to get done until GenXers (like myself) and younger workers are so screwed with taxes to pay for the boomers' SS that they SCREAM at the ballot box.
The SS house is on fire but congress won't have the momentum to do SQUAT until the roof collapses. And even then it will take a while.
There is a lot of support coalescing behind Allen. I hope he takes on some really good advisers but doesn't let them over-manage him. He is quite a natural and would, I believe, be a worthy successor to GW.
Who is it that wants to distance themselves from Bush? I know Ah-nold does but that is because he can't get his initiatives through or get re-elected without the votes of his Hollywood cronies. And we all know how they feel about Bush.
You nailed it. And in 9 out of 10 cases, they lack attractiveness. That 1 left is attractive thanks to a surgeon and trendy dressing. Just something I have noticed.

As I told several people, when they had the incident in Canada re: the nursing home, they passed it off as Legionnaires but the descriptions were off. It is thought to be a different strain (as per Canada), they covered up in the past, so I don't trust them.
