The Tony Snow Show-Tuesday, November 1, 2005
Fox Radio | 11/1/05 | Tony Snow

Posted on 11/01/2005 5:46:12 AM PST by Bahbah

HAS THE BASE BETRAYED THE PRESIDENT? Have conservatives let the President down? Is Bush tired of fighting conservatives versus liberal battles? Guest hos John Gibson wonders if the base has actually been more harmful than helpful to the President's agenda.

JOE WILSON IS NOT THE PRESIDENT. Joe Wilson seems to think that he is the smartest man in the world. However, the lying, prentension and demonstrable incompetence suggest otherwise.

Go Home, CHUCK. During Prince Charles' first visit to the United States in a decade, the heir to the British throne wants to lecture Americans on their "overly confrontational" attitude towards Muslims. Why?

You can find out more information about the line-up, stream Tony's show, find local radio stations as well as other fun stuff off his website.

CLICK HERE and follow the "Listen Live" link to stream the show which runs from 9 AM est to noon.

 moongriffon.com streams the show every day from 3:00 to 6:00 PM (EDT).

WMET airs Tony’s show on the web from 9-12 EST. Another way to hear Tony’s show is by streaming it at 7pm CST on klif.com

Yet another source of the show is at 1190wamt.com which streams at least part of Tony’s show during its regular air time.

XM Channel 165 also airs the show for satellite radio subscribers.

You can also listen to Tony on WGTX  live, in color and on time.........HERE

Sirius Channel 142 also carries the show live.

To call the show and talk to Tony dial: 1.866.408.SNOW

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later. If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request. All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

That dweeb Prince Charles has too much time on his hands. He's "interested" in architecture.......needs a job BUILDING some. Then he might...just might...contribute some value to society.

From Benedict Blog also Southern Appeal, as a reply to Volokh's worries of too many Catholics on the court:

Top Ten Changes a Catholic Majority would Make to the Supreme Court (Humor)

10) Meat-less Fridays all year round in the Supreme Court cafeteria;

9) Oral arguments in Latin;

8) The bones of Chief Justice Marshall will be disinterred and placed in a glass coffin in the center of the Supreme Court bench;

7) Collections between each session of oral argument;

6) Supreme Court windows replaced with stained glass;

5) On close votes, the Justices will consult a statue of St. Thomas More. If the statue weeps, they affirm; if no tears, then they reverse.

4) Incense at the start of each session;

3) Supreme Court opinions will be deemed infallible and unreviewable by any earthly authority [Ed. - Sorry - that does not appear to be a change at all]

2) Catechism of the Catholic Church will now be "persuasive authority";

And, the number one change which a Catholic majority would make to the Supreme Court . . .

1) Wednesday night bingo!

As FReepers do, we thought of others:

No, #1 is:
There's a giant carving of the ten commandments as you enter the building, but everyone pretends they're not there. Oh, wait... No change there, either.

Invoke The Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel whenever an atheist enters the court. i.e. Newdow

Number 11. Selection of Chief Justice signaled by white smoke.

Preceeded by the locking of the justices inside to decide instead of Congress.

Other ramblings by Catholics today:

From Cooperatores Veritatis:

Go In Peace Mr. President, Your Sin Has Been Forgiven

One element in the theology of forgiveness that is often overlooked in our "non-judgmental" culture is that for forgiveness to be efficacious, the sinner must acknowledge his sin and display a willingness to make restitution for any harm done.

For dems,(liberal emailing suggested):

Just in case our justices get shaky:

Thankfully, President Bush's nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court in the aftermath of the Harriet Miers debacle seems to be an indication that the President indeed understands that.

Granted, he needed the fraternal correction of the conservative base to help him see the light. But as Proverbs 17:10 says: "A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understanding than a hundred blows into a fool. "

And the Alito SCOTUS nomination demonstrates that the rebuke was not wasted on the President.

Deo Gratias!

Go in peace, Mr President. Your sin is forgiven.

But don't think this means you can nominate Alberto Gonzalez when the next SCOTUS vacancy comes up.

"Is that the same as the TOO EXTREME tag the left usually applies to conservatives or is this a new category"

Not at all. A person can't be too conservative. Unfortunately, most people do not fall into that category.

He was great last night on O'Reilly when he basically told Dick Morris to stop promoting his book and talk about the subjact at hand. I burst out laughing.

Do you think Gibson will talk about France Burning? I didn't here a peep about it when he was doing O'Reilly last night.

I love it when John sinks his claws into the French, but Denmark is having problems too. There was a Swiss article reporting that gangs of young muslims, throwing rocks and burning buildings, are attacking police and insisting the land is "their property."

Do you think Gibson will talk about France Burning? I hear Denmark is having riots too.

But do you hear whi is rioting? I thought I heard it was the Muslim community. Am I nuts, because I only heard it once and then never again.

Yeah you are right but it still makes me mad.
It's one thing to attack Alito for not handling a case in a fair and unbiased manner(which they probably can't do) but still another just to constantly throw dirt out of their playpens.
