"In August of this year, Congress passed a bill extending Daylight Savings. Starting in 2007, it will be observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, extending the period about a month." Dumb stuff that Congress puts its nose into. Like McCain's Campaign finance. Why do we pay these people, much less elect them?

So regular time after 2007 will be about 4 months and 8 months daylight time.
Why not just move the whole year to daylight savings and stop the ridiculous twice-yearly adjustments?

Anyone who etches a government edict into hardware as though it were forever, deserves to get burned.

Only way to get even would be come in an hour late on Sunday or Monday...or, work when the clocks change in the spring and get your hour back.... :)

Hee-hee!
In my neck of the woods we say, "Spring ahead, Fall back."
At least that's correct...er, um, yeah, I think it is. (<:
I'll enjoy the extra hour of sleep in the morning. The problem is I'll stay up later tonight!

Thank you, why would anyone want to 'fall back'? Ask any sports coach, he'll tell ya! And that's where the reminder originated - sports lingo:
Spring back, Fall forward! (for the last time!)P.S. Dogs hate it.

I honestly don't know what they think they are accomplishing with that change. They're not getting more daylight, unless they think they can legislate the speed at which the earth rotates. Whether they call it 8 AM, 7 AM, or 40 Bazillion AM, there are still only going to be as many hours of daylight in a day as God allows.

I'm surprised our esteemed (snicker) legislators haven't messed with days of the week. After all, an 8 day week might be better....or a 5 day week.
And months. If they evened out the days per, we could get 13 months in a year.
MOD, Please delete this thread before a Congresscritter reads it, gets an idea, and tries to put it into law !!!!!

The really bad part is it gets dark so early with the time change.
Sunsets at 4:00 pm in December are depressing.
Guess I need a 'happy lamp.'
To: Jokelahoma
Exactly.
I'm surprised they didn't legislate that daylight hours will now be 70 minutes and nite hours will be 50 minutes.
Why?
Well....uhhh. Why not?
That makes as much (or little) sense as changing the clocks twice a year.

Might have a little trouble working it into my decor though. LOL
