Doh! <slaps forehead>. Considering that Yasser Arafat was Egyptian, you'd think Egypt and the Palestinians would have some kind of bond, where Egypt would be more than thrilled to help them out. It's amazing that all the responsibility falls on Israel.

BEcause the whole thing is a farce. Arafat was born in Cairo. Abbas was born in Jordan. 2 of the 3 other top P.A. leaders were born in Syria and Lebanon. There is no such thing as a "Palestinian".
