Do you have children??? Have you ever had to tell them they couldn't eat for a couple of days until you could getthe money to get food??? These immigrants come here looking for a better way of life, this nation was founded on immigration. Do you think our forfathers were actually born here?? Where do you think all the races in ou country come from?? The only people who truly are Native to this land are the Native tribes. My daughters father came here looking for work and works very hard. Jobs that us Americans don't want to do. Heavy labor and for cheap. if we want some of the leisures in life there are always goingto be someone to do the work. waiter and waitresses, cooks, cashiers construction etc. Well we aren't taking the jobs so why not give them t someone who actually wants them and needs them. People are dying in those countries from things that could of easily been prevented. But they don't have the same knowledge and money like our nation to prevent them from happening.Some of these folks are working three jobs to take care of their families. Do you work three jobs??? Are you able to enjoy life, because these folks don't get the chance to. And what would happen to our family if he were to be taking from us?? Our nation is so gung-ho on families but we are destroying others just because they are so desperate to take care of theirs they come here illegally. America has alot more opportunities then other nations.

It started when a woman who identified herself as a teacher asked what she was supposed to tell parents (who were illegal immigrants) about why their children (who were also here illegally) couldn't go to college or apply for financial aid, even after they had worked hard and earned good grades.

Tell them to GO HOME! What I would really like to tell them would get me a 'time out'. Why should anyone pay for ILLEGALS to go to college when there are LEGAL citizens who would also like the same benefits?!!! As if they haven't already gotten more than they SHOULD HAVE from the TAXPAYERS!

Breaking these is illegal to various degrees, but does not make one a "criminal."

Few Americans understand there is more than one kind of 'law' in operation in our country. One can commit a crime against another person, or one can commit a violation of codified law.

To them, a law is a law is a law, and should be immediately obeyed without question.

It's how government controls the sheeple.

but there is an important definitional distinction. Criminals are folks convicted of violations of the criminal code, which is usually things like murder, rape, armed robbery, burglary, etc.

A lot of illegals are potential felons for coming back after being deported. Many commit felonies by forging documents. Methinks you are missing the bigger picture here - perhaps by design?

It is an important distinction because, as Giuliani pointed out when he cleaned up New York, the the foremost function of the police should be enforcement of the criminal code, and civil stuff comes lower on the rung of priorities

And now you get it ass-backwards. Giuliani also pointed out the importance of enforcing the small stuff as a deterrent to the big stuff. And that's what more and more Americans have realized in this debate.
