Brevard to experience hurricane force GUSTS Monday per WESH.
Then she'll cross south of Okeechobee, not over it. Everything on the east coast from West Palm Beach south gets the dirty side south of the eye.
She's chosen her angle of attack and taken aim; soon she'll start rocketing toward us. At 20 mph, it'll take her about 20 hours to cross the distance.
There was one that sat on Marsh Harbor all day last summer, forget which at this point, Frances maybe. Not a cat 4, though. Yeah, I would anticipate that Wilma did worse than Andrew even if slightly weaker, considering her sitting still all day. Thanking our lucky stars she will be moving through here quickly, although since we are on the strong side we'll get some extra wind.
My friends in Naples are insisting on staying put, the ones in Key West ,I have a feeling they'll be out of there when they wake up.
Yeah, these days I'm scared of anything from a cat 3 on up. Monday should go OK for us, long as we're careful, time'll tell, though. If she trends any further south, Keys could have more of a problem with surge.
Morning. Everybody ready?
NHC has drawn the 05:00 line just south of Okeechobee, pretty much a straight line from her current position, with no appreciable turning anymore.
I see Jim Cantore is in Key Largo.
Going back to bed for ahwile, I think. Good morning.
I'm about as ready as I'll ever be, now that the waiting is over and the final act is about to begin. I need to get some sleep, though, because I haven't been to bed yet and tomorrow will be an all-nighter. But I'm so pumped right now sleep will be difficult.
per WFTV "The models have shifted south. Comes in S. of Naples and exists around Palm Beach. 4-6 hr. process. Could still experience tropical storm force winds in Orlando."
During the night. Hate when that happens.
Praying the cold front knocks her down a lot. Get some sleep laz. I am going to sleep myself so I can be awake when it is coming in.
Where in Key Largo is he, did they say? Don't have cable, so can't check him out. But most of Key Largo is pretty narrow.
It's one thing not to panic, but having a lackadaisical attitude is something I can't stand. People like this don't seem to take it seriously at all, as if nothing were happening. A hurricane is coming and they shrug their shoulders. There's a big difference between not panicking and just shrugging your shoulders.
Don't know where Jim Cantore was standing in the dark at Key Largo. He spent more time talking about Islamorada than Key Largo.
Good Morning everyone !
Morning. Waiting for coffee here.
What's a timestamp? Some FR thing that I missed, I guess.
I'm sitting here my my tea, waiting for the sunrise.
