Thank you for that, as a houstonian.

Crowd starts chanting "Bullshit." More of that "best in the majors" Cardinals fan class.

The best fans in baseball, just ask them. Or don't, and they'll tell ya anyway.

It's funny that you say that. I believe, win or lose, there will not be riots in Houston. And I bet you the MSM will never notice.

When the Rockets won the first time, it was huge. I had never seen anything like it. The streets just filled with people celebrating and cheering. No cars overturned, nothing burned.

It is not a Texas thing though. A couple of years prior, Dallas won the Superbowl and during the victory parade there was a riot and the players had their jewelry ripped off their necks.

Houston is definitely a different city. Maybe it's the humidity.

I'm a long suffering Mets fan, but I am rooting for the Astros too.

Houston made me so proud of Texas.

They have big hearts for sure!

Sorry, I wasn't trying to single you out in post#85, I just did a quick response to the post I was on without clearing the name field first. There are indeed plenty of classy Cards fans.

Think about sports on this thread.

An out is an out. Even a sac fly gets you closer to getting out of this inning without too much damage.

Ok, sorry, I was posting before I saw your #88!

I guess that teaches us a little about knee-jerk reactions, huh? LOL!

Oh yes, the tag clearly missed the runner, who thus should have been safe. I just hate it though when crowds start chanting "BS" or other curses at games with all the kids in the stands. But I've also heard that garbage chant at Houston Oiler games, so am not implying that Houston fans are pure.

Thanks, I think the ESPN Affiliate just changed this year. I was able to pick up the Houston Station 740AM, but it faded at times.

This is also a problem during the regular season where I don't have much of an alternative. If they sign up as an affiliate, then they ought to carry their games.
