Good Morning, Well I'm on the beautiful island of Barbados today, and not due to head home to Miami til Saturday afternoon. Anyone with thoughts on if I will get back before the storm?

Hubby is at a conference here and there is a dinner planned for us Friday night, so leaving early would be difficult (but not impossible). On top of that my brother called that my dad went into the hospital with chest pains last night. They are running tests, so I don't know anything yet.

I came here to relax and my stress level is through the roof now.

Safely stated from an undisclosed location in the Midwest.

While fascinating, some of us have more immediate survival concerns, e.g. determining whether we need to evacuate, board up the house within the next 72 hours, etc.

Looks like the storm will be poised to cross the FL peninsula Saturday. Forecast has her just off the east coast of FL Sunday morning. Of course, this could change.

for the 3rd day in a row some of the models, including a very reliable one are showing this thing combining with another large storm coming down from Canada to create a HUGE Historic storm for the east coast and Ne US..not good news since they are water logged already

check out the long range ECMWF!!!!and how it phases the hurricane and a powerful system in the lakes and creates a superstorm off New England(been showing this 3 straight model runs)

The termite commander's secret hideout is in the northeast. Guess I should pay even closer attention to this.

Prayers for your dad, and that Wilma makes a tighter right turn and stays out of Florida.

The models seem to be converging on landfall in the extreme southwest Florida coast. I trust/hope/pray that's good news (as long as she isn't very powerful at that point).

Damn... the latest NHC 5-day cone doesn't look good for me here in Miami. Good thing I left my shutters up after Rita. After Katrina caught me off-guard without shutters, I decided to put them up and leave them there for the rest of the season.

Looks like the Keys are gonna get another pounding. Go away Wilma!

The outer bands of Wilma might be effecting Florida by Thursday, or early Friday ? This storm keeps growing in size and it might be effecting Florida by Friday?
High winds, and heavy rain,etc...?

Thanks! I will check back later, I'm going down to the beach and try to relax for a while. By Wed morning we will have to decide if we will try to get home early.
