It's worth noting that the negative publicity surrounding this incident has pretty much put an end to all discussions among state officials about a new stadium for the Vikings.

That, in fact, is the REAL reason why the ownership of the team is all up in arms about what happened.

I'm still waiting to hear that all of the players involved in public sexual acts and urinating on private property have been released and that the Vikings have apologized to Al & Alma and have pledged to steam clean and sanitize the two boats.

A pair of 2006/2007 season tickets to each of the employees subjected to this behavior would be appropriate as well.

Hah! That'll probably be the biggest understatement I read all day. Mike Tice is easily the most inept head coach the Vikes have ever had, and that's saying something given the Les Steckel debacle. I've never seen anybody in so far over his head. Actually, I think he'd be in over his head manning the shake machine at McDonald's.

I swear the man trips over cordless phones. Why the front office can't see this is beyond me.

It is truly a crime of stupidity. Considering all the charter cruises one could choose, Al and Alma's was a hoot, and it only adds to the teams problems that both local newspapers have a vested interest in trying anything to keep the Queens from relocating from downtown.
