TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police used tear gas to break up a rock-throwing crowd that had gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by the National Socialist Movement.
At least two dozen members of a Roanoke, Va.-based group that calls itself "America's Nazi Party" had gathered at Wilson Park just before noon and were to march under police protection.

Oh spare me. No heroes in this story. Nazis marching among a bunch of black urban thugs who used this as nothing more than an excuse to riot and loot..........yet again.

Maybe we should all make excuses for the dirtbags who hit a cop with a rock. "Conditional assualt" we could call it - cops can't be guilty of assault, rioters can't be guilty of assault, because there are always some special circumstances.
You are still missing the issue. No one has the right to loot and riot or even to physically attack another based on what that person says. Even if someone yells 'fire' in a crowded theater, there is no right for any of the patrons to administer vigilante justice or rob the jewelry store next door.

Then you would have to ban some of the rhetoric at the Millions More rally. The question is always, where do you draw the line? The Constitution guarantees free speech.

There are manners, civility, a standard.
And then, there's always love.
If one of the marchers got into a one on one shouting match with someone and called him this and that and they guy punched him back or somrthing and the protester claimed "free speech"...i see the point

Nazism is the preaching of genocide. Freedom of speech should not apply to people who think it's OK to kill off everyone that's not like them.
Squabbles between neighbors do escalate at times. What was the involvement of the gang in this dispute? Did they seek to intimidate the white neighbor?
Black on white assault is rarely called a hate crime in the media. Doesn't defend neonazis taking up your cause, just seeking background.
Anything except lies that materially damage the person they defame. And you are still entitled to slander someone as long as you are willing to pay those damages. Slander is a civil, not a criminal matter.
Even Islamoterrorists are allowed to peaceably protest.

I'm not sure of everything but apparently the white guy of the fence fight posted on a BBoard and it caught the nazis eye and they decided to march in the black neighborhood.
