More "suicide" prevention?

I can imagine! I am not taking a large bag with me to the next game unless it is really small. I have heard security is going to be tight and then tighter. All this for a lone suicide bomber? No way!

Thank you SO MUCH!!! (o:

Interestingly, Channel 9 News out of Oklahoma is reporting that Inhofe was also at the meeting with FBI OK's "agent-in-charge" Hernandez. I wonder why we haven't heard from Inhofe, and I wonder if he would agree with what Cole is saying they were told. It's still all HEARSAY though - the FBI has not issued any releases since 10/04 that I am aware of.

I don't know if I've mentioned it on this thread, but I find it interesting that Cole says they told him what was or was not found in the apartment - how could they have told him if the file is sealed? Can Congressmen and such with security clearances look at files sealed by the DOJ?

Doesn't that just figure... it's not like they had anyone investigating the story from day 1. I guess they want to assume that the local reporters are all inferior...

Can't believe they're putting this to bed before the FBI has even released their final report - and while the file is still sealed. AMAZING...

I agree that there is a lot the average American doesn't hear about for sure. And, if you do go looking for information you find your sources have most likely be labeled "conspiracy nuts" by those in high places.

90% of Americans agree... the "blue pill" is the best!

Glad to be of help with the transcript.

Regarding more Fox News coverage, John Kasich interview Tom Hinrich and Congressman Tom Cole. Also for the record, I am sober and not a “conspiracy theorist”, just a concerned American like the rest of the freepers here stating facts and looking for answers.

Kasich asks, How much did you probe on this, how much did you push? Cole says, Pretty aggressive
Yet with the search warrant sealed and the justice dept. separate from congress, obviously he is not aware of anything more than what the FBI has informed him of.

At No time was “Ammonium Nitrate Fertilizer” mentioned. Kasich and Cole are accepting what they are being told, Kasich from Cole and Cole from the FBI. Neither have asked the right question!

Kasich: wanted to put this to bed. He does not even ask THE most important question about fertilizer which had two witnesses and the most undisputable aspect of this whole story. Cole could weasel out of this by saying he just accepted that the FBI told him the truth. Posted elsewhere here, Hinrich was thought to not be seen around the apt much and was always studying. Was he taking a 4H class and needed a large amount of AN for a science project? No Mr. Kasich you have just done a great disservice to the American people. You discuss “topics of interest to middle-america”. You did not even ask Mr. Cole what the FBI thought he would use the AN for. They sealed up everything in Hinrich’s apt. How long does the warrent stay sealed?

Stating more facts than the Major media has. Mr. Kasich ignored a story this big for weeks and now in his words “put it to bed” without pushing Cole for answers on the fertilizer. Talk about someone doing a job with no previous experience.

Why that method and location asks Kasich. Hinrich had nothing against football and nobody injured, says his brother.
Yet there was an eyewitness that was right near him at one point, lucky to be alive and a security guard indicating otherwise. If according to his father he would have choosen an open area, why not the expanse by the apartment seen in SAT images?

Kasich: wanted to put this to bed. He does not even ask THE most important question about fertilizer which had two witnesses and the most undisputable aspect of this whole story. This is to be buried. No explanation other than the official one will be tolerated. Security will be increased, but the "great unwashed" will not be told why

At this stage, too many people in media and govt have gone out on a limb, saying definitely "this has no connection to Islamic terrorism". Too many people cannot afford to look stupid should any contrary story be released

Some might say that the American public "can't handle the truth". If so, then the Republic is dead, and we shall be ruled by the "elite" that know what's going on, and the media that spit out the elite's daily press releases. We will be expected to work our jobs, pay our taxes, and not stick our noses into the affairs of our betters

"Can Congressmen and such with security clearances look at files sealed by the DOJ?"

Yes, but if the evidence may end up in a grand jury, they can't comment about it if they see it. Depending on the local AGs, DA's and Justice attorney, even the congressmen/senators might not see the record. An example of that is the Grand Jury going on re the Plame/Wilson/Rove mess.

Thanks for the recap. This is truly disheartening, not to mention frustrating. They're doing it to us again--lying through their teeth about a matter of vital importance to everyone living in this area.

As to Kasich's motives, weren't there some rumors about him along the same lines (and around the same time) as those surrounding Condit when his intern disappeared (and was later found dead in a park)? If I recall, that's when he got out of government. If so, that might explain why he might be throwing in his lot with Boren.

Cole, though, is another matter. To my knowledge, his reputation is spotless, or was until he lied through his teeth on television.

Mark Tapscott mentioned the press conference awhile back and posted the FBI release naming who Cole was briefed by. It was FBI’s Oklahoma bureau chief, Salvador Hernandez. Any new FBI updates?
Mr. Tom Cole, the Truth Shall set Ye Free!

Inhofe yet to speak out (thanks LibertyRocks). Maybe he’s letting Cole test the waters or have reservations or unanswered questions about what they told him.

Oct 13th, homelandsecurityus.com posted info on A. Nitrate. The FBI and Task Force need to explain why Hinrichs was trying to buy AN. I doubt they are even questioning every lead. According to Jayne, they still have interviews from ‘95 not done.

Any local newspaper stories regarding eyewitnesses? What happened to Adam Smith? Where is the reporter with guts asking about AN? Jayna maybe, does she report somewhere regularly?.

Not to get to far off subject, however, I was amazed that Fox News would spend a total of roughly 15 minutes on this story and a few web pages VS. 1,600+ hours on the Holloway case.

MizSterious ck this out
Here is an interesting link from 1999 regarding OK newspaper responsibilities and I pulled an excerpt regarding Mr. Boren. The doc is 5 pgs long and takes fortitude to get through it. Only halfway myself. Looks like history is repeating itself in Mr. Boren’s taking care of #1.

Columbian Journalism Review, 1999
Reports by The Washington Post and The New York Times in June 1986 that Sen. William Armstrong, R-Colorado, and Sen. David Boren, D-Oklahoma, had sponsored “a one-of-a-kind, multimillion-dollar” tax break that would benefit only eight wealthy investors -- one of whom was publisher Ed Gaylord.

If this is one in the same man and true he’ll just keep calling in mouth pieces.
