Purely politically speaking, it would be foolish of the voters in PA to vote out Santorum. He would be the next Majority Whip, a very powerful position with great clout. In addition to that, if the GOP lost the majority as a result, their other Senator would lose his powerful committee chairmanships.
Not to mention the fact that Santorum has stuck his neck out for conservatives and taken the beatings from the press numerous times. Amazingly there are people on this forum that call him a liberal. Those people are simply too dishonest and/or too stupid to be listened to.

Santorum supported SPECTER over TOOMEY, thereby stabbing conservatives in the back. That hardly qualifies as sticking his neck out for conservatives. In my book it's sticking his neck out for a Rino. Sorry.
But for his and the president's support of Specter we wouldn't have the problem of Specter on the Judiciary.
