Arab Anti-Semitic Lies -- Five Years Later
Arab News ^ | 10/10/05 | Turki

Comes the latest slander against Israel in particular and Jews in general, this stinky piece in Arab News, official internet blog from our Saudi Arabian "allies:"

Remembering Muhammad Al-Durra --TWO men shot Muhammad Al-Durra five years ago this week, on Sept 30, 2000, two days after the outbreak of Intifada II: The occupation soldier who shot the fatal bullet that killed him, and the photo journalist who shot the iconic picture that immortalized him. Muhammad, of course, was the 12-year old boy killed in the arms of his father, who had vainly tried to shield him from harm as both crouched, compressed and trapped, between a low wall and a large metal barrel at the Netzarin Junction. The harrowing image, filmed by Palestinian cameraman Talal Abu Rahma for France 2 television, carries the emblematic power of a battle flag. Its heart-rending intensity, its fevered veracity, puts it beyond all rational understanding. It is a lasting image of the war against the Palestinian people and how Israel has conducted it. Hundreds of poems have been written about the boy. Several countries, including Egypt, Tunisia and Belgium, have issued stamps commemorating the event. Parks and streets (including one in Cairo, where, tellingly, the Israeli Embassy is located) have been named in his honor...

There's just one problem: it was a lie five years ago and it's still a lie now:

"...al-Durrah had been shot from the Palestinian position: "The only ones who could hit the child were the Palestinians from their position. If they had been Israeli bullets, they would be very strange bullets because they would have needed to go around the corner." He dismissed an earlier claim by France 2 that the gunshots that struck al-Durrah were bullets that could have ricocheted off the ground, stating "It could happen once, but that there should be eight or nine of them, which go around a corner? They're just saying anything." He also confirmed Juffa's claim that Abu Rahma (the cameraman) had retracted his testimony. However, France 2 communications director Christine Delavennat said that Abu Rahma never retracted his testimony, but rather "denied making a statement - falsely attributed to him by a human rights group [the Palestine Centre for Human Rights] - to the effect that the Israeli army fired at the boy in cold blood." Finally, Leconte continued to insist that the shootings had not been faked, stating "At the moment of the shooting, it's no longer acting, there's really shooting, there's no doubt about that."

The lies and slander continue against Israel.

Dear Sir.
I see you are a retired Navy officer.
I like that & I want you to know that I always respected men like yourself. So please do not take my respond to your writings as hostile. I only mean well & only out here for the truth.
I am an American who lived most of his life traveling. I saw & heard many things in my life, & your story about Mohamed El Durah is wrong.
I am not sure what you saw on those taps, but the camerawoman you claiming that you saw her work for the date of Mohamed El Durah’s assassination carry a no doubt that the ones that killed the young six years old boy were Israeli Soldiers.
I personally saw the tape & I saw the pullets when they taken of the boy’s body. All the pullets belonging to American made (M 16), knowing that the only parties that have these weapons are our friends the Israelis.
If you really worked in the Navy, as I believe you did. Then you will know that the Palestinians only use the Russian made RPK.
I hope that you are seeking the truth & not one of those people that live their whole life in a lie.
Thank you & God bless America
Sam

not retired navy... you must mean some one else...

check out the pallywood video of the martyr who rises from the dead, and then tell me that you believe any of the videos that come from the palestinians...

the israelis do not fire indiscriminately and the palis who were filming knew the boy and father would be martyred.
