There They Go Again -- Justice Department Clamps Down on OU Suicide Bomber Facts
TownHall.com ^ | )ct 8, 2005 | Mark Tapscott

Posted on 10/08/2005 11:04:18 AM PDT by SauronOfMordor

It was only hours after Joel Henry Hinrichs III blew himself up Oct. 1 near 84,000 football fans at the University of Oklahoma when federal officials claimed he was just a troubled young man with no links to terrorists.

But then yesterday the U.S. Department of Justice asked a federal court in Oklahoma City to seal the search warrant officials there used to get into the apartment Hinrichs’ shared with three or four students described by neighbors as “Arab-looking men.”

If Hinrichs acted alone and had no links to terrorists’ organizations or activities, why seal the search warrant? What did investigators find in Hinrichs’apartment that they don’t want the public to know?

[snip]

The most disturbing hole, though, is the letter intercepted by U.S. intelligence last May from Iraq terrorist mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to Osama bin Laden describing a “Great Ramadan Offensive.” The offensive was described as a series of spectacular attacks in the U.S. and elsewhere during Ramadan, which is in October. Was the OU stadium bombing intended as the first of those attacks?

Will we ever recover from those dreadful eight years of Clinton? Much of our terrorist problem can be traced back to that politically-correct, bribe-taking, totally-corrupt administration.

I don't think anyone in the media really understood the total ramifications of Clinton politics by poll numbers and how it will affect us for years to come.

God help us if another Clinton gets elected.

Agree with your comments 100%!

I had my daughter out asking students what they thought of his latest email to students and to a student they think he is shoveling BS and are mad. Call us all bigots right now too but this cover-up is the final straw with me in the long line of coddling certain groups of Middle Eastern students.

We need new leadership at The University of Oklahoma and it is time the Board of Regents took action. Boren has lost the confidence of some students, parents like me, and the thinking members of the community -- this has brought back up his bizarre defense of that Pakistani student in 2002 when he kicked two white kids out of school over what turned out to be a lie by the Pakistani. This Mom wants to know WHY?

He can take his political correctness and call us a bigot or whatever, but we deserve answers not coverup! Our students deserve to know the TRUTH!

The similarity jumped out at me and trying to buy ANFO sent chills down my spine. It all fits.

As I posted before, one of my relatives works at the University and with many foreign students.

I see her about once a year and always the grip is about the Arab students wanting special consideration.

I talked to her dad who says that many of the kids on campus knew this bomber nut.

They think they are being fed a line of horse crap.

There is more to this than the authorities are letting out.

I think many people are going to be very upset when the truth finally comes out.

I just returned from campus.

If his car was an old beat-up blue Lincoln Town Car, then it is still in the parking lot. It has one of the roofs that was not metal on the outside but kind of a leather like material -- I cannot think what they are called.

As for video cameras, I found what looks to be a new one installed at the SE corner of the end zone where students enter and also a new one in the parking garage as you leave -- at least they look new as they are black and around here black turns into grayish looking with the dirt blowing around. Could not find any at Gate 1; Gate 2 had one but it was pointed at the back of the ticket office not the gate; Gate 3 and 7 -- couldn't find any but will go back tomorrow to see if walking around I can see more. Very few people around campus this afternoon and frankly didn't want to stand out.

Looks to me like the video surveillance in the stadium was for ticket offices where they would have money and tickets not for the gates. The student gate definitely has one today -- all nice and new looking.

Can confirm a lot of ME students in Parkview Apartments that love to stare. Parking lot is pretty full at the Islamic Center.

End of my report from OU!

BTW -- my two kids think it is a bunch of crap as well.

And Vince ripped it up and put it in his briefcase post mortem, apparently. (no fingerprints, not seen in first search of the briefcase, ridiculously vague, etc.)

Oh yes, I knew. I learned a great deal about OKC '95 when I joined FR in '98. Things I most probably would never have learned otherwise. Before I joined FR, it had never really crossed my mind there was more to OKC '95 than there appeared to be. I never bought the official line about TWA 800 and thought it was terrorism before I joined FR, but I was still in the dark about OKC '95.

Of course, back in '98, we here at FR were looking back on OKC '95, unravelling a cover-up already three years old. Today, we are seeing the cover-up of the OU bombing in its infancy, and we're able to see through it and pick it apart as it starts. And we're gathering all the little pieces of the puzzle in real-time, putting together the truth at the same time the cover-up develops.

Really? And just last night I heard that the "authorities" had reviewed "tapes" and concluded that the kid had not tried to enter the stadium. Just more fog from the press.

This is something I've pointed out a couple of times. It's quite a contradiction. In an effort to crush reports that Hinrichs tried to get in, they claimed he didn't show up on any security camera tapes. But aparently, there were no such cameras that could have picked him up in the first place.

The problem is Boren immediately started to spin right at the beginning of this, before he had a chance to really think things through. Consequently, he's been contradicting himself, adjusting for any new developments, and basically winging it.

He was a well organized suicide victim.

If what you and I have heard and read about Boren is true, and I believe that it is, this is far worse than simply political correctness. The man has been compromised and is jumping through hoops for those who have evil intentions against our nation. That he sits in the position he does in an area such as Norman, an area with links to Islamist terrorism going back to 1991, with links even to 9/11, makes him a threat to national security. He might as well be a willing sympathizer and quisling for all the damage he's in a position to do.

think many people are going to be very upset when the truth finally comes out.

If it ever does. The very thing you mention -- people getting very upset -- is one of the primary reasons those in the know might conspire to keep the truth from ever coming out.

Would love to be a fly on the wall at whatever kind of meeting they're having in there.

That 2002 incident with the Pakistani is being talked about now on campus. Think this is beginning to spiral out of control especially with some of the students who don't believe a word he has to say now.

I was living in Texas at the time of the bombing and remember the BOLA on two Middle Eastern guys that were most likely headed to DFW as someone at the rental car counter said the description fit two Middle Eastern types who had leased a small car from them.

Then it disappeared off the radar.

Didn't think much about everything although I knew 2+2 did not add up to 4. When they opened the Bombing Memorial Museum, I took my daughter to tour it and there was this huge mural with the mourners at the Memorial Service. Everyone was mourning except two people -- the Clintons who looked like they had just swallowed the canary -- happy as could be among all these mourners. Knew then that we didn't have the facts on the bombing and the trials were a whitewash IMHO.

I have the feeling this is all tied together and that Boren's cover that he and Clinton didn't get along is not exactly the truth since he got Clinton to appoint Tenent -- what so Tenent could keep Clinton out of trouble and be beholding to Boren and in turn Boren's activities get covered up?

My tin foil has not turned to a hard hat!

As I told you before, I don't think Boren being in that position is a coincidence.

All I get is second hand information from relatives who live in the Norman area.

However, that said, everyone I know up in that area thinks that much more has gone on that is not coming out.

Just a gut feel but this guy wasn't acting as a lone bomber.

If he was visiting that mosque in Norman he was probably getting a lot of anti-American hate speech.

I visit many of the International Medical Graduate resident medical forums on the Internet and can tell you that some of the comments made by Arab resident doctor candidates would make your hair curl.

Comments such as Arab educated doctors being far superior to American Medical Graduates.

Or, that Islam will over take America.

Or, that the Great Satan is the American government.

So, I can honestly believe that nothing good is probably said about America in most any mosque.
