Out of this meeting will come a determination to forge ahead with a Democrat plan to raise taxes, increase spending, promote windmills, expand the welfare state, pack the Supreme Court with lefties, go after more private property, quash the Constitution, weaken national sovereignty, support the U.N., corrupt the law, coddle terrorists, increase the size and reach of government, further erode individual freedom, combat religion, promote the Global Village, etc., etc.

But, but, isn't that what caused a massive defection from the party, lost election after election, state house after state house, legislator after legislator, the White House, the Congress?

Isn't that why the party who could once pick from among political giants to run for high office is now reduced to looking to John Kerry, Al Sharpton and Hillary Clinton as their best hope to regain power?

Shhhhhh. Don't tell 'em.
