IDF may transfer weapons to PA security forces

The Defense Ministry and IDF said Friday that they were considering transferring weapons to Palestinian security forces in order to assist them in fighting terror groups in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Army sources said that the Palestinian Authority must combat Hamas and other terror groups if it hopes to control the continuing anarchy in the territories under its auspices, Israel Radio reported.

This could make me laugh until I'm sick. These are the same group of idiots who were crying for years about how they deserve their own state, and looky looky, whose on the hooky? I have more respect for the ISM than for most radical lefties. At least the ISM comes out and declares openly that they want Islamic extremists and terrorist groups to prevail. That's the position of the Left, and frankly, it's refreshing to hear some of them admit it.

Hamas is losing ground day by day. The Gaza pull out is a masterpiece. The pals have for so long demanded the world stage and now they have it. This isn't like OSLO where Arafat got weapons to funnel to his Hamas buddies.

Abbas (along with Fatah)is being watched by the entire world this time. Hamas is toast and this is just jelly. I feel that their own actions are driving more and more pals away from their path with every action they take.As with other terrorist organizations, they are on the ropes.

As we empower Iraqis to fight this battle within their own country, Israel is going to empower Abbas and fatah ( or another willing entity) to fight this battle in a forthcoming palestinian state. When there is a Pals state the UN can no longer ignore what the people from within that state do, as they have for soooo long.
The pals have demanded a state for so long I wonder if they understand the responsibility's that comes along with it.

They have done this type of thing before. They would supply Pakistan with weapons. Which in turn would give to Afghanistan to fight against the Russians.

Ill agree many of Arafats "buddies" still run the show. But I see accountability growing today, where Arafat was given a free pass. Israel made a HUGE painful concession as it pertains to leaving Gaza and now the ball is squarely in the Pals court. If they just chose to kill each other that is what the world will see.

I wonder if Hamas will claim that Fatah is "colaberating" with Jews if this transfer does happen? Would Hamas play that card as they are backed further and further into a corner?
