White House Releases Information On Al-Qaida Plots 3 Foiled Attacks Aimed At Targets Inside U.S.

WHITE HOUSE -- The White House has released information about 10 al-Qaida plots that President George W. Bush says the U.S. and its allies have foiled in the last four years.
Three plots cited were in the United States. They included plans to use hijacked airplanes to attack both the West and the East coasts. The third involved plans to detonate a radioactive "dirty bomb" in a U.S. city.
Also, the White House says there were plans to carry out attacks in Britain and Pakistan, and at a tourist site outside the U.S.

What they really need to release is more info on Salman Pak, if they did at all. The connection needs to be reinforced since most MSM robots can't even see Al-Q is in Iraq right now.
That would be scary, is scary!--but I think we all know what they are capable of and I'm glad we are "foiling" their plans...so far!

Update 2: Confederate Yankee is live-blogging the NYC event. One thing I noticed, though on the clip he posted from ABC is that they've apparently changed the text of the 5th paragraph since he posted it:
According to sources in intelligence, emergency services and police headquarters, when three Iraqi insurgents were arrested several days ago during a raid by a joint FBI-CIA team, one of those caught disclosed the threat. Because it slipped out during the arrest, the plot was deemed credible.
...now says:
According to sources in intelligence, emergency services and police headquarters, the intelligence community developed information that the threat may have involved pharmacists from Iraq coming to New York for some kind of chemical attack targeting the subways. Three insurgents, one or more of whom are pharmacists, were arrested during a raid by a U.S. military and intelligence community team, sources said, and one of those caught disclosed the threat. Because it slipped out during the arrest, the plot was deemed credible.
First, it's much more significant with the specific information about the pharmacists and possible chemical attack.
Second, it's interesting how they removed the reference to the "joint FBI-CIA" team's success in capturing these guys and getting this information. Afterall, if Jamie Gorelick were still in charge, they would've never been working together, much less sharing any information. Wow... CY just posted his update that noted the exact same thing. Great minds!

"The three plots targeting U.S. territory included the well-known case of Jose Padilla, who was arrested after he allegedly explored a possible radiological "dirty bomb" attack, and two plans to use hijacked planes to attack the West Coast in mid-2002 and the East Coast in mid-2003. The White House document gave no further details about the timing or targets of the latter two.
"Two sources familiar with intelligence information said the West Coast plot targeted the tallest building in Los Angeles, since renamed the US Bank Tower, and involved Malaysian militants and Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, who was captured in 2003. Previous reports on Mohammed's interrogations in custody said that before Sept. 11 he mapped out an attack on the tower that was later aborted.
The seven foreign plots said to be disrupted by the United States and its partners included plans to strike London's Heathrow Airport using hijacked planes, to hit ships in the Persian Gulf region and the Straits of Hormuz, to attack Westerners in Karachi, Pakistan, and to set off multi-target explosions in Britain."

I have been so frustrated with the "move along" responses and just wanted the truth. Now they come out with this, and I'm asking why now? Why a change in routine? What's up? You just can't please some people, I guess:')
