My wife just called from the stadium. She supervises one of the University sky boxes and said there was a tremendous blast and they wont let anyone have access to thier cars parked in the area of the bomb. It was apparently a suicide bomber who prematurely triggered the bomb. It was just before halftime with 80,000 people in the stands. My guess is an OU student frome a Muslim country. I am so angry I am shaking.

It's early to speculate, but the first thing that comes to mind is that someone accidentally blew himself up.

UPDATED: 4:08 pm CDT September 26, 2005OKLAHOMA CITY -- A University of Oklahoma student charged with bringing an explosive device to an airport pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor charge in federal court in Oklahoma City.
Per update from KWTV-9, authorities on the scene say it was a bomb, and that a second device was also found and has been "taken care of". Occurred outside the stadium around halftime.
Some architecture students working on a project in a nearby building said they saw smoke and saw only one casualty. It's presumed that's the perp. Right now focus is on securing the area and finding an orderly way for fans to make their exit at the end of the game without compromising any possible evidence.

At this point everything is pure speculation so in accordance with that, if this were a planned explosion, would this date have any significance to Islamofascists? I ask because there were also as many as four explosions in Bali earlier today.
