I like warm & toasty, too. SoCal product and grew up w/o A/C. SF Bay area is a climatological compromise between me and my wife. She grew up in Oregon and likes cooler, wetter weather.
I spent three years in Fremont, and there was a stationary High off the coast for all of those years. I would NOT go back in "normal" weather. While we were there, we actually had snow on the ground.
