THE US ATLANTIC AND Gulf Of Mexico COASTS

No tsunami expected.

Do you think it was an instrument error from effect of hurricane?

That was most probably in Mexico. Brownsville is practically at the border from what my friends in Houston said.

It was a fairly routine earthquake in Honduras late yesterday afternoon; had nothing to do with the hurricane. Look at the distances given.
