How did she ever get elected; I saw her the other day and she literally cannot read words off a piece of paper with anything close to a sincerity that would instill confidence in people.
One good thing though, at least we've been spared the drivel from that charlatan Landreiu.
Fishy would be amines, metallic.... I'm thinking it is (and this is a stretch) turned up water from New Orleans. The winds are coming out of that direction.
That was in very poor taste.
I see from your short posting history, you're mostly a lurker who likes to stir up trouble now and then.
People's lives and livelihoods are on the line here.
My advice, stick to lurking.
That's good, because I don't think LA can survive much more of her. Or her sidekick, but that's another matter. (I know they hate each other, but they're still two of a kind)
Very, very bad news.
"I got the KPLC feed up now."
Kool.
Gee...If I walk away from this thread for 5 minutes it is imposible to catch back up.
I do too. I was thinking the same thing. It was so fun.
That's cool, thanks for the info. I hesitated to put you and oceanview in the To: line for my post because I didn't want to accuse you or the other poster of anything, it just raised my radar so to speak.
I personally think the guys at DOT could be more at fault than the driver if they were helping him fix it. After all, I think most bus companies send out repair crews when something like this happens, and the driver is just a driver, ya know?
I'm not posting any more threads because you don't send me flowers anymore...
Earlier Shep was interviewing some local guy, and shep was wavering in the wind while the other guy just stood there. At one point the other guy had to hold Shep up. The other guy was bigger and broader than Shep, but also seemed a little better at the whole balance thing.
PLEASE tell me that some microphoned idiot has gotten whacked by a piece of debris!
Our Golden just stands there looking to the northeast and sniffing the wind.
What does that mean?
Where are you? I'm between Mesquite and Terrell off I-20. Definite strange smell in the air. I thought it was the paper factory out on 80, but nothing on the scanner about it being on fire....again.
Hubby describes it as musty and damp and stinky. lol
Well, it's just so perfectly timed. After somebody gets a warning from the AM.
FoxNews:
David Lee Miller: There is something going on down the street with all the emergency vehicles there, but we don't know what it is.
[psssttt, David...You're a reporter. Isn't it your job to find out what's going on????]
Agreed. I'm back inside for the rest of the night with the AC on - I just went out to run an errand and the smell struck me.
It was *not* there at ~7:30 when I went outside and took those photographs.
I am sorry. Wish I could post more, just don't have time. I'll just watch the thread now.
