Hey there, Kountz! Hope you can avoid any falling trees. I think I'm already getting a few hurricane-force gusts. Just went outside. Already a few shingles flying around, but don't know whose house they came from. I'll be okay down here. I'm certainly not going to bother any rescuers. I made the decision to ride this out, and I'm certainly not going to impose on others. (although, if they happen to run across me, pinned down by a tree, I won't argue with them).
Still amazed I haven't lost power. Oops, there's another dip. Take care in Kountz!
Well, I certainly won't impose myself on you, but please feel free to freepmail me if you start flooding. The graphics they've shown on local news indicates that most, if not all, of Nederland may get a few feet of water if the storm surge is significant. I can understand why you wouldn't want to evacuate under your circumstances, but don't be too proud to ask for help. Okay? The Nederland officials didn't stay in Nederland for the storm and there's a reason for that.
greene, Max Mayfield is talking about a 20 foot storm surge hitting Port Arthur. How high up are you???? This is getting worrisome.
