Mr. Weldon said he thinks Able Danger was shut down after a "profile" of Chinese weapons proliferation linked two Americans to Chinese students at Stanford University engaged in technology acquisition for China.

Who were the two Americans? Choose from my list below:

A. Bill Clinton
B. Vince Foster
C. Madame Halfbright
D. Hillery Clinton
E. Dead (murdered) Sec. of Commerence Ron Brown
F. The Three Stooges
G. All of the above

Feel free to add to this list!

BUMP!!!

Man, if I had a relative who died at the hands of the 9/11 terrorists and I now discovered that those terrorists were aided and abetted by Clinton, Gorelick, Berger, and others in the Clinton Administration, I would be apoplectic right now.

You can't blame the Clinton administration for covering up information about 9/11 because the Clinton administration was out office for more than 8 months when 9/11 occurred.

We don't know what the Clinton Administration did, and why. We do know, though, that it definitely was not with the intention of affecting the attacks of 9/11, which hadn't even occurred yet.

Chinese Money.

Hint: Count the number of senators whos pockets are stuffed with Chicom cash. Hint: Don't stop counting until well into the nineties.

Next, move through every part of the government and do the same.

Then you may see the light.

We do know, though, that it definitely was not with the intention of affecting the attacks of 9/11, which hadn't even occurred yet.

And the inverse (applying to Bush) is true also:

We do know, though, that it definitely was not with the intention of affecting the attacks of 9/11, which had already occurred.

Something else is going on, that much is sure, and we do need to know why this was brushed aside by the previous administration, and why info was destroyed under this administration.

Why is it that the media will give Clinton a pass when he states that in 1995-96 the US Government did not have any evidence to bring OBLaden to trial. In reality, Bin Laden had been named in a federal indictment -- provided the Southern District of the State of New York -- as an unindicted co-conspirator in the first Trade Towers bombing.

You said, "Atta and the other three 9/11 terrorists who showed up on the Able Danger chart were NOT U.S. citizens. So information about them need not have, and should not have, been destroyed."

William Dugan Acting Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Oversight Department of Defense explained yesterday in the hearing:

"The purpose of the Intelligence Oversight program is to enable DoD intelligence components to effectively carry out their authorized functions, while at the same time ensuring their activities that affect United States persons are carried out in a manner that protects their Constitutional rights and privacy.

I’ve used the term “United States persons.” It is an important one because it refers to more than just United States citizens. The term also includes lawful permanent residents, corporations incorporated in the United States (unless directed or controlled by a foreign government), and unincorporated associations substantially composed of lawful permanent residents and/or U.S. citizens."

Just so you know the (tortured) reasoning of the Pentagon on why they had to destroy Able Danger documentation.

That would indeed be super-criminal behavior, and would demand an investigation. However, in fairness, don't forget we heard how the White House was trashed when the Clinton's left, and how, except for a few missing computer keyboard keys, little of it was true.

I disagree. We've won five straight house elections; three straight senate elections; two straight presidential elections and the House and Senate majorities have increased. So it appears to be helping a great deal where it counts, in elections.

90 days, my ass.

Does anyone here have any idea how long it takes to collect 2.5 to 3 terabytes of highly organized data in a formal data warehousing environment?

It took them years to build that data warehouse.

And that cost millions of dollars.

Someone ordered the plug pulled and they had a really good reason.

It is a little funny in a way. The title would make the un-informed assume an investigation on Atta was conducted, then the data on the case was destroyed.

I hope some of the folks that have made comments on this post that seem not to have a good idea as what has gone done do a search on Able Danger and retrieve the huge amounts of stuff we have on FR at this point. There is no need to second guess anything at this point regarding time lines etc..
