By Sunday, with the national announcement, it was too late for many of them to leave.
And yes, it was Blanco and Nagin who bear the far greater blame regarding Katrina.
I for one am realy getting sick of hearing it was too late for them to leave...for crap's sake it was on TV for a week before it hit..anybody can see that it is getting BIGGER and BIGGER just by looking at the pix. they have neighbor's,(i.e. word of mouth) I saw thousands of cars parked in driveways by houses of people standing on roofs ect. Word of mouth travel's...what in the heck is this blame game going on for when you take responsiblity for yourself first. I don't care who you are, this idea that the gov. takes care of us from cradle to grave is sickening.
The blame starts at the local level first and foremost!
Thank you howlin' for the timeline you put on.
