Did you see the post I sent to WVNan last night?
I'll link it so you can see it.

That should be it. Tell me what you think.
I am guessing the pledge is also brown rather than grey????
.. well it is up now on other computer .. and definitely a differnt color/look.
thanks everyone
it is the new monitor with colors that are off - 19" flat
Good grief! You better get busy! However, percentage wise - you *talk* more than I do (for the number of threads posted)! LOL

That animated cowgirl computer graphic is so YOU. Wolfie comes up with the best graphics for us. :-)
Indeed he does! I have been dying to use this little graphic!
Morning, FReezie FRiend. :)
I am SO GLAD you are given the green light to DRIVE again! That's great news!
The main writing is a pretty silver blue on a dark brown background. The other writing is sort of a gold-tan.
No CD Burner on the other one, and the floppies don't always work right. My disks may be very old, my drive on the old one may need cleaning, but for whatever reason, that method is not as dependable as emailing from one to the other.

Sorry for some reason, this first went astray to Dixie Sass
Thanks....I didn't realize how much of a relief it would be. I have no plans to go anywhere, I'm still a bit awkward getting around - but just knowing that if heaven forbid school called with an emergency about Jax, at least I know I can go...even if I have never driven hubby's pickup :)
He promised me he would get my car running one way or the other on Friday - and also make me drive the pickup to get comfortable with it.
Yep! Been there, done that. What a lifesaver you were, jk! But after all the crying over the LCD monitor I bought a couple of years ago, I learned to LOVE it, and bought the LCD monitor again! I did NOTHING to calibrate this one - it looks almost exactly like the old ones does!
I need to take a lunch break - Mr. B here - and will read that after lunch, ok? Thanks for the link. I missed it last night.
billie, the easiest way to me has been to put all on an external hard drive(I now have 4). that is easily movable from one computer to another & good for trips. using the CDs etc is the pits
I see dark charcoal grey interior and ribboned border is a medium/grey blue.
I have too! I approached the whole idea of an LCD monitor with extreme trepidation, I knew I was not going to be able to adjust to it, but I love it now. I also love using 1280x1024 screen resolution too. I was SURE that I could not adjust to that and would be going back to 800x600. Now, when I go back to 800x600 (to check the size of one of my graphics for 800x600 users), it looks just AWFUL. Everything so HUGE! I guess it is all what we get used to. That and accepting change gracefully and with an open mind. LOL.
I have to scoot as well....I've got blueberries and apples that need to be dealt with and sitting here is not doing it :)
See ya all later :)
Thought I'd post another pic from our family get-together last week. It follows along the lines of today's theme. :)
These two brothers are US Navy Veterans from WWII. Ron, on the left, served aboard the battleship USS TENNESSEE and George, who happens to be the father of my bride, served aboard the submarine USS TINOSA.
Last Veterans Day, at the church we attend, a small gift was given to each veteran - a coin inscribed "A Grateful Nation Thanks You" on one side, and on the reverse, "In Appreciation fo your Courage and Sacrifice to Protect our Freedom." I was able to get a few extra coins and gave one to each of them last Saturday.
Heading for the checkout counter. Busy day planned - a visit to the dentist, daughter Deni's birthday celebration tonight, Logan-sitting, etc. Have a GREAT day, y'all.
Aresn't it a great day?
Good afternoon everyone.
