Thank you, cutiebear. : )
Hi, handsome wolfie! I do look beautiful with that sweet little smile. LOL Thank you!
I'm glad you finally made it in. Now what color is my main background in the opening? :) (we're having a discussion about it - some say grey, some say brown, what says wolfie?) :)
Nice to have you at the 'Finest'. : )
Wolfie say....brown. : )
One other thing it *could* be (the difference in the way you see it and the way I see it), then, could be the adjustment of your monitor. If it's at all tilted, or it's sitting higher or lower for you than mine is for me, the color is either darker or lighter. I know that as I scroll, my colors look darker toward the top of the screen than at the bottom, and that's even with the monitor not tilted at all.
Then Wolfie get BIG HUG!!!!! LOL
Wolfie LIKE big hug!!
Sure glad Wolfie chose the right color. LOL
Oh, I missed that wherever it was posted before, and it just breaks my heart. That poor dog - you could see the pain in his eyes. Thank God he was rescued and is doing well now. Bless his heart.
I will make a note of this for future reference - If I ever do have children. ;-)
Be sure to click on the image in that post to open a page with more happy endings! One of the best things that may come out of Katrina is the realization that pets ought to be considered in future evac planning.
I understand that the mayor of Galveston has already said that if evacuation becomes manditory because of Rita, pets will be allowed on evac busses!
I know one of the reasons people give for not wanting to evacuate is that shelters won't allow pets and they don't want to just leave their pets behind to fend for themselves.
Hey, how come Billie got my ping? :-(
Awwwwwww.....but I love the "Bear Hugs" graphic. Glad I didn't miss it. Thanks, wolfie. :-)
Good afternoon, Mayor. Thank you for your lesson from God's Word.
Hope you are doing well and getting more work!
Sadly - no such facility exists any longer
Luckily no tragedy happened - but 2 weeks ago 2 patients with life threatening issues (one had fallen off a roof, the other a problem pregnancy) were unable to be transported off the Island by ambulance because the drawbridge was stuck in the open position.
Ambulances from the mainland met the Coast Guard boat which took the fall victim to the public boat ramp.......the bridge was fixed just before the Chincoteague EMTs were about to transfer the pregnant woman to the CG boat.
The bridge was stuck for more than 45 minutes....I know because we were on the causeway attempting to get over ot the Island :)
LOL! I answered to what she had posted and in replying forgot to substitute your moniker. Sorry. : (

: ) I like the smilies. : )
As soon as hubby gets home with some beer!!!!!
That's okay, I figured that's what happened. I got it, that's what matters. :-)
AhhhhRoooo!
: )
Hey, I'll be back in a bit.
More True Confessions to Come -
hoping the A/C Repair Man arrives tonight...
I was in the delivery room - the doc had poked her head in took one look and said - going to change be right back - 5 minutes later the nurse practitioner opened the door yelled out to some FIND DR. B NOW and came back in, looked at me and hubby and said "It's us folks, folks".
At about this time a lab tech comes in to draw blood - I looked at her like she was nuts and told her to be quick about it. After about the 3rd time the nurse told me to push Dopc B. shows up and the tech is still drawing blood...that's when I looked at her and informed her that I was not donating blood - she had more than enough and to get the "f'ing" needle out of my arm and get out of my sight - she did.
Moments later Doc B. actually raised her voice and scolded me "Gabrielle let go of your husband's neck - this child needs a father and I don't need a strangulation in my delivery room"...just as I let go of him, Jax let loose and doc was asking where the camera was!!!
The whole thing lasted about 15 minutes.
