I'd love to see Jello Biafra making a moving speech at the induction, thanking his parents and his high school teachers.

I saw J. Geils at Tulane Stadium in 1976 along with ZZ Top. Lynard Skynard was a no show. Peter Wolf put on a great show.
I believe that Johnny Rivers is still excluded from the RRHOF for his political beliefs.

I am a closet Duran Duran fan. Never would admit it in real life being a 20 year old male and all. I only wished I grew up in the 80s and could have expiernced the golden years of MTV and the video music era.

I think it was the Rivingtons that made the original. Did not hear any more songs from them that got played as often as "The Bird". They did release an album though.

Sorry, I cant find the CD to even give you the exact name of the song. I think its either "the wall" or "piss on the wall".
Its an anti-war song throughout, but the wall they talk about pissing on is the memorial wall.
part of the song; "Now I try to hold it steady, as I piss on the wall".
Its on the freeze frame album.

Glad there is another DC5 fan out there, Moonmad. I could listen to "Can't You See That She's Mine" anytime. How about "Anyway You Want It" and of course "Glad All Over" and "Catch Us If You Can." Just five guys who liked sports and were out for a good time. Yep...me toooooooooo....but I'd have to admit is "Because...."....:)

Seger has been snubbed for years...There are probably some who are still angry over his "Ballad of the Yellow Beret".

Probably from the same fools(Grammys)who didn't even nominate Huey Lewis's "Sports" for LP of the year in 85, and instead gave us these classics......
Album of the Year:
Can't Slow Down
Lionel Richie
other nominees:
Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual
Prince - Purple Rain
Bruce Springsteen - Born In The U.S.A.
Tina Turner - Private Dancer

Wazat you carrying the speakers for the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band back in '71 ?
To: concretebob
Lucky you! The Troggs were fun. Another unappreciated British group with lots of hits, barely recalled today, was The Searchers.

Lynyd Skynyrd doen'thave a prayer of getting in...ever. Reason?...."Sweet Home Alabama"Good point!!
What lines do you think the RRHOF finds most repugnant? Praise for Montgomery?(Montgomery's got the answer)
As Skynyrd says: Well, I hope Neil Young will remember A Southern man don't need him around anyhow
