Wait. I think we agree...I don't mean the dazzling things...I mean that mutual courtship is a GOOD thing. I like to see my man going to some extra effort for me, and I respond by going to extra effort to please him. (mine happens to really love pie, so that's one way I do that)

The MUTUALITY of the courtship is important. And his willingness to pursue me tells me I am important to him, as my willingness to respond tells him he is important to me.

I am not talking about Dior watches - i'm talking about bringing me an air tank when I have a slow leak in my tire so that I can get to the tire repair place safely in the morning.

Fair enough. I've met too many women who defined a relationship as the man's ability to do everything in "winning her over". Then my wife came along, and it just happened. I didn't have to "win" her, I didn't have to do much of anything. We both just, clicked. I prefer it that way myself. Either it's the right person, or it isn't, and then I don't really have to do things

And now that we're married, I have the energy to treat her in the most special way I know how, because she is the one. Maybe to some I'm doing it backwards, but it worked out beautifully for me, somehow.

That is what the little, portable air compressors are for-- I keep one in my van. It cost about $15.
