Thanks! I have to admit I don't know a lot about Burr, but I'm pretty sure Elizabeth Dole is already ON this... LOL... It was an email from her this morning which suggested this thread.
Tell her for me, that I think she's a CLASS ACT, when you see her next, will you? ...grin

I have a whole row reserved with peanuts, popcorn and beer to add to the entertainment.
As far as the pubbies rolling up their sleeves, I would bet that Bush has asked them not to play the games of the libs...
BTW what ever happened to Able Danger????
When do we get to see that entertainment come forward?

And I, for one, would be thrilled to have a PRESIDENT John Roberts. WoW! That would be awesome! I never even thought about that, but you're right. The RATS have to be very afraid of him.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I signed the petition this morning and I thought I had posted back to you but I see that I didn't. I've only got one RAT Senator, and he got a letter. I know Domenici will vote for Roberts because he's in Bush's Cabinet. I sent him one anyway. They just love to hear from me. :o)

Okay... Great. If the draft is now open, I'd like to send in MIGUEL ESTRADA to run for U.S. Senator from NY. Somehow, that just seems 'right' to me.

I also am hoping they will rally!!! Thank you for your post!

You, and others here, may certainly be right about Roberts' confirmation being likely. On the other hand, since long term (in my view) BOTH these SCOTUS confirmations are arguably one of the most important things the Bush Administration will accomplish (for my kids, and THEIR kids) in its entire eight years, I am inclined to participate.I'm also inclined to believe it's important and chose to participate.
Thank you for the post.

RE: "i live in MI, boneheads here won't listen. even if they did support him, i'd still vote against them."
LOL ...I'll see your 'boneheads', and raise you...
...I'm on the Left Coast, in Boxer-Feinstein land, and I STILL went for it. No way of winning here either but, I keep hoping that if I can get them looking over their shoulders, there's a chance they'll stumble over something. (Stranger things have happened.) Also, since I KNOW they WANT me (and everyone like me) to just keep quiet around here, I take particular glee in speaking up on these things to them, especially in instances where they, or other members of their party, might be deemed vulnerable somehow.
Never give up!
Be well.
