Republican National Committee ^

CNN's Jeff Greenfield: "I Can Understand Why John Roberts Earned A Fine Living Arguing In Front Of The Supreme Court. He Is A Very Skilled Litigator And Presenter." (CNN's "Situation Room," 9/13/05 )
The New York Times David Brooks: "I Think, First Of All, It Was A Good Morning Because There Is Nothing That Changed The Likely Prospects That He Will Be Confirmed." (PBS' "John Roberts Confirmation Hearings," 9/13/05 )
Fox News' Megyn Kendall: "He Did Well This Morning ..." (Fox News' "Fox News Live," 9/13/05 )
- Kendall On Sen. Joe Biden's (D-DE) Questioning: "KENDALL: He's ... Being Cross-Examined On Positions That He Took ... That Were Unsettled Then That Are Settled Now. To That Extent It Was Perhaps A Little Unfair ..." (Fox News' "Fox News Live," 9/13/05 )
CNN's Wolf Blitzer Questions Kennedy On His Accusations While Hearing Continues: "One Final Question, A Quick One To You Senator Kennedy. You Suggested - You Used The Words Mean-Spirited, Referring To John Roberts. He Certainly Didn't Come Across As Being Mean Spirited Today." (CNN's "The Situation Room," 9/13/05 )
Fox News' Chris Wallace: "Senator Kennedy [Had] A Lot Of Probably The Most Heated Questioning So Far Of Judge Roberts And, In Fact, Senator Kennedy Had To Be Repeatedly Reprimanded By The Chairman, Arlen Specter, For Asking Long, Probing Questions And Then Not Seeming To Pay Much Attention To The Answer That Judge Roberts Gave." (Fox News' "Fox News Live," 9/13/05 )
Fox News' Brit Hume: "I Think The Fact That Kennedy Was Repeatedly Interrupted As He Tried To Interrupt The Answers [By Roberts] By The Chairman [Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA)] Who Has Been Praised By Everybody So Far As Having Been Very Fair Probably ... " (Fox News' "Fox News Live," 9/13/05)
- Hume: "If You Ask A Question ... At Length, You Ought To At Least Give The Person A Chance To Answer It. That Would Be Enforced In Any Courtroom, And I Think Most People's Sense Of Fairness Would Dictate That You Do That." (Fox News' "Fox News Live," 9/13/05 )
CNN's Jack Cafferty: "I Watched Joe Biden's Soliloquy On Judge Roberts. If The Idea Of These Hearings Is To Elicit Information From The Man They Are Considering Voting On As A Supreme Court Justice Seems To Be-To-Me Is To Be Quiet And Let The Man Talk." (CNN's "Situation Room," 9/13/05 )
- Cafferty: "Biden Didn't Lay A Glove On Him. He's Asking About A 23-Year-Old Memo That He Wrote As A Staff Lawyer About Alleged Discrimination Against Female Inmates At The Prison Down In Kentucky. It Seems To Me That There Are More Pressing Issues That They Might Be Asking Him About. This Idea That They Don't Let The Guy Talk. They Want To Talk." (CNN's "Situation Room," 9/13/05 )
- Cafferty: "Well, It's Not Your Time, Senator. The Time Is For The Public To Listen To The Views Of A Man Who's Going To Possibly Be The Next Supreme Court Justice. Just A Thought. The Senators Just Become Characterizations Of Themselves In These Things." (CNN's "Situation Room," 9/13/05 )

This is the RNC we're talking about, not MTV.
I get messages from them every single day and they don't look like this.

John Roberts is the coolest, most pleasant, nost incredibly concise and brilliant man I have ever seen explain his thoughts and complex material. He is THE BEST!
And looking at his wife behind him, the love and admiration on her no-nonsense face is beautiful to see.

I emailed them a heads up. The formatting is ridiculous and breaks any continuity of thought.

Roberts is amazing for being able to control his disgust and maintain composure while having to endure questioning from these vermin who have accomplished so little in their lives. Roberts has been around Washington long enough to know the game.

To paraphrase a line from Mark Twain that's been used several times in the novels of Ross Thomas:
"Roberts sits sublimely, smiling in his Certitude. Much like the Baptist Minister holding Four Aces!"
You can't by comedy like these Hearings!
Jack.
