The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

NO NOTES! He's familiar with all the cases they have addressed with NO NOTES!

Not only that .. he doesn't jot things/notes down about the questions being asked

Chuckie seems UPSET that we don't agree with him either! And, of course, he alone has the RIGHT viewpoint.

What we got today was proof that the Democrats did not come up with a single approach or a single question not anticipated by Roberts. It must have frustrated the Democrats beyond belief. Time after time they tried what they thought were clever attempts to trap him.. Each time they totally failed.

If you were watching on TV most of the the Democrats were reading carefully scripted comments and questions designed to trap Roberts.

You can tell the Democrats have been out foxed when after asking just a question or two on a subject they say something to the effect... "uhhh lets move on to another subject..." They go to a new subject because the paper the Democrat Senator was reading from said, "If you let Roberts go where he is going, Roberts is going to have your rump. Try a new attack"

There were a number of hands folded by the Democrats today. And Roberts never once was at a loss for words or lacked a preplanned response to their questions.

It must be tough to be a Kennedy or a Schumer and learn that Roberts had out thought all your high paid Democratic lawyers.

Most people take notes in order to keep their story straight and not get caught in a lie. If everything you tell is the truth, it's the same at 9:00 or 5:00.

No need for notes.

Rumors abound that Chris Matthews

Last year Chris signed a 10 year contract. He will get paid if he is on the air or not.

If he is being canned it is because his ratings suck or advertisers will not buy his show or both.

If I recall correctly, Jim Wright wrote and published a book which he unloaded by the case-loads to union bosses, etc. at inflated prices.....considering that the book was nothing more that a slim collection of Wright's old speeches, hah.

He was forced to resign or face charges of illegal campaign contributions.

I may be off on some details, but I think generally this is correct. This happened to Fort Worthless Jim a loooong time ago.

They didn't, we can be sure of that. They have their minds already made up. They just like the sound of their own voices.

Oh I didn't mean it like that

Some of those Senators asked him a number of questions all at once

He kept track of it all and answered them with no problem

The sooner the better. And I want a lot of hoopla with it, too. I want the MSM to mourn another of their nutwings getting knocked off for spouting unpopular and often deceitful slanders and innuendo. Let them cry, like when we ousted Whoopie...in record time.

They should give Michelle Malkin the Chrissy time slot. Wouldn't that be awesome?
